It's such a cool place. What I love most about Laguna is that it has so many little beaches like this, and all have their own special charm. Thousand Steps Beach and Wood's Cove are really beautiful as well.

This is not a private beach!!!

    • @jl.520
      @jl.520 2 роки тому

@@fitnesswithdan might as well be a private beach. No one can access it unless they're wealthy enough to live there or they have the money and time to launch a kayak.

    Three Arch Bay in Song:
In 1970, Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys wrote the melody to a song called "California Feeling" that mentions Three Arch Bay. The Lyrics were written by Stephen Kalinich. The song was to be included on an album named "California Feelings", but the song and album were never produced or recorded for somewhat hazy reasons. But in 2002, Brian finally included the song in an album of his personal favorites called "Classics: Selections by Brian Wilson"
    album cover
    "California Feeling"
I was walking down the beach at San Onofre
It was such a beautiful day
The wind was blowin' through my hair
    Sunlight chased my cares away
And the sun dances in the morning sky
    When you're driving through L.A.
    watch the cliffs below
On beautiful Laguna's Three Arch Bay
The wind was blowin' through my hair
    Sunlight chased my cares away
And the sun dances through the morning sky
    California feelin', California feelin',
    California feelin', California feelin',
When you're down in New York City
    and the sky turns gray
    Nearly froze think of Californ-i-a
Do doo doo doo doo doo ah
California feelin', California feelin', California feelin'
    California feelin', California feelin'
    Look at the orange groves
And taste a grapefruit from a grapefruit tree
Feel the loveliness and beauty of that California feeling
    Note:
I received the following Email from Stephen Kalinich on July 26, 2008:
"I saw the website for Three Arch Bay. For your information, I am the person who wrote the lyrics to "California Feeling". Brian Wilson wrote the melody.
I am the one who went there many years ago, and Brian was my partner on it. I had a friend who had a house there. I loved it and that is how it got into the song.
A new version is coming out soon with Al Jardine of the Beach Boys.
I just wanted to let you know so you could correct it on the site.
I love Three Arch Bay and it is because of me that it is in that song and the whole world knows about it.
It should be corrected on the site.
    Kindness
    Stephen Kalinich"
So there you go Stephen. The site stands corrected and thanks for the update. Visit Stephen Kalinich's Website!

Hello, i'm just wondering but if you touched the water or put your feet in the water, how cold was it? I live near santa cruz so the water is really cold here but one time, my dad took me to san diego and I just jumped in the water because it was nearly lukewarm!!!

Beautiful video.....very informative. Unfortunately, social media exposes locations to those who are unaware of how their actions impact magical places like Three Arch. I do not stand alone when I say that many of Laguna's beaches have changed for the worse due to Instagram and UA-cam. The local residents of Laguna have noticed a huge spike in the amount of trash, broken beer bottles, and even graffiti on the coastline of this beautiful land. The ecosystem is already stressed. Some places are better left to be discovered by those willing to explore. Please help us preserve this magical coastline. Rather than contribute to increasing human traffic, why not use this platform to bring awareness to the disrespect of these special beaches.

It's private access, but you can come in from the water via SUP, kayak, SCUBA, etc.
