When I had cancer in 2018, I heard this song coming out of a surgery- four years later and it being happy tear to my eyes, and a huge lump in my throat knowing how far I have come in these past four years.
I never said it before so I’ll say it now- thanks guys. You really never know how much one song affects someone- thanks!!

I love how good they are to their fans. I went to warped in 2014 just so I could see them and meet them and when I went to take my picture Anthony hugged me immediately aand told me he thought I was a lovely young girl and could tell I have a future ahead of me. They told me to not give up and listen to their music when I'm down to remind me I'm loved. I'm always loved.. I have really prominent self harm scars up along both my arms and down my legs. When I say prominent I mean they are 100% healed but still colored bright pink and purple. I was wearing a tank top and shorts bc Illinois in July is disgusting.. Most artists are either nice or say they hope I'm okay or whatever bc it's clear what they're from but it was different. To hear your favorite band tell you to hold on is incredible. I could never forget. I know I'm not the first to have something like this happen to but I've been fired from jobs because of my scars.. I've been made fun of and embarrassed.. It was just.. Perfect

I'm stuck in my hospital room, reminiscing about how excited my wife was to meet Kev at the last warped tour near us (Shakopee, MN), like this video portrays.
I was slowly becoming a fan after the first time being dragged along for the Low Tides tour that stopped through. But, Petaluma and Kev's all-around wonderful personality (plus he complimented me on my Primus shirt) just drew me in and now "I'm not just a fan. I'm a whole air conditioner"
