Dark Olympics: The 1972 Munich Olympic Games Tragedy

The 1972 Olympics in Munich were tragically overshadowed by a horrific act of terrorism that resulted in the deaths of 11 members of the Israeli Olympic team. Early in the morning of September 5, 1972, eight members of Black September, a militant faction of Fatah, breached the security of the Olympic Village. Disguised as athletes and wielding stolen keys, they invaded the accommodations of the Israeli team.
