I can’t imagine Red Velvet without Wendy. Her voice is already far above average, probably the best vocalist of her generation. Besides her incredible voice, she brings soul, emotion, and feeling to the songs and performances. Our world is very lucky to have such a unique, versatile, and authentic singer like Wendy.
@@CatInTheBox3001 "Red Velvet with Wendy is a team and a half, and Red Velvet without Wendy is a team halved." So true in so many levels. I feel like Red Velvet wouldn't be a musically interesting group if it wasn't for Wendy's vocals. It adds so much flavour and versatility to their discography.
@frvrwannie You're absolutely right. The different nuances and layers we find in Red Velvet's songs are something I can only identify in Wendy's voice. I started listening to her solo songs after hearing the "Heart on the Window" collab, and I keep asking myself, "Why didn't I discover her sooner? And how can a voice be so powerful that it moves me this much?" Very few singers have that skill.
Missing any of the members really does take something away from the groups performances/vocals. If any of the members decided to leave an element of the group would be forever changed. Without a doubt however, Wendy plays a huge role in the groups overall sound as shes one of the best vocalist of 3rd gen and there isnt a member who can really pull off her parts with the same vocal excellence and feeling - Although the members do a good job at making it their own when they cover Wendy.
TRUE, I love the girls but the difference between when wendy's with them and when she's not is palpable!! she may not have the vocal tone preferred by most but she just gives flavour to their songs
Wendy is that important to that group, but ReVeluvs will tell you otherwise because apprently, RV has 5 main vocalists. They love to downplay Wendy's abilities and importance in that group to feed their delusions that all members are main vocalists.
You're not telling anybody anything they didn't already know. Including SM. Remember when Wendy got injured at the end of 2019? SM immediately released a statement that RV would be having NO promotions whatsoever until she was completely healed. They gave us the Seulrene project to tide us over, but it was more than a year before we saw the full group together onstage again. When she was injured, RV already had a small tour of Japan booked that they had already committed to that they did without her. Seulgi herself said onstage how difficult it was to perform without such a vital member with them.
@Opinified It would be the same with ANY group if you suddenly removed their main vocalist. Could you have imagined Mamamoo promoting for an extended period without Solar?

What's wrong with her vocal tone?

This like that makes me wonder if some kpop Fandoms live in a crazu parallel universe. That's crazy.
