I love Pattinson and respect him even more for this video, but I’m sure it helps when you’ve been a highly successful movie star for over a decade and you’re filthy rich to ignore 1 girls opinions… 😂 I wish I had his problems, he’s a cool guy!
This is like when I found out Henry Cavill was a Warhammer 40k fan... Mad respect Robert, a guy who is willing to just lean into stuff he likes even if it was/is nerdy.
To be fair. After Roberts explanation, it doesn't really sound like a good story. But still it triggers me. "This is the problem with the world!" If she knew, she'd WISH she could ever play a character as well written as Tifa or Aerith/Aeris.
It's not how well written they are, doesn't matter. She's the kind of people who wouldn't try videogames because they are childish, sexist, wrong, etc. There's a lot of people like that, closed minded to new ideas and experiences, videogames are just another media like Music and Movies, a well done videogame is art.
She prefaced THEIR conversation by saying she's not judging. Listening confused and trying to be apart so he explains it but when he talks about 2 girls (one in a short skirt) and you don't know who to pic, you can see VISIBLE disgust on her face before she proceeds to say "this is what's wrong with the world" yeah he's really reading into because OBVIOUSLY she loves games SOOO much. No you can see from her face before he made her part of the conversation that she was judging how excited they were about a game. Because UP UNTIL RECENTLY (and even still to this day" females think games, anime, collecting, basically anything you're doing without them is childish and sexist. I've LITERALLY heard females say they will stay on the phone for hours or they still do dress up basically but a guy having fun on a game is childish. Females now days have ALSO said that they love shxt testing men, starting arguments, and they hate to see men happy 2 videos today showed girls getting the "ick" over guys bowling or walking slow over rocks to make sure you don't trip. Female logic is stupid and even my sisters say this so stop trying to say he's reaching just because YOU don't agree.
Robert Pattinson is a great actor. Twilight memes just overshadowed his newer acting career. His version of Batman was awesome and his acting in Lighthouse was phenomenal. Also his voice acting in The Boy and the Heron was insane, legit thought it was William Da Foe voicing the Heron but it was actually Robert's voice.
The "Aerith vs Aeris" thing is something not even a lot of Final Fantasy fans know about. The fact Robert Pattinson knows about that means that he's been constantly up to date with FF7 throughout the years. When the original FF7 was released, "Aeris" was her name. It wasn't until Kingdom Hearts that they changed it to "Aerith".
Her name was always Aerith. Aeris was just the name in the English PS1 release. The bad localization of FF1 prompted Square to do future localizations in-house, which is why all future versions say Aerith.
I studied medicine, and I like to play the healer/support role on RPGs and MMOs. However, I'm a man, so I don't know exactly how I should feel about what she said
It's funny looking at these comments seeing how right in line with his character you can see from the batman interviews. Robert is very smart and fun and it usually shows how nerdy he really is.
The crazy thing is that even in the original the truth was that Aerith/ris was the BOLD one while Tifa was the SHY one. Cloud’s memories section was the highlight of FF7 relationships!
It would be wonderful seeing Aerith's VA (Briana White) reacting this video and responding to Zoë Kravitz's comment, considering that Briana has already shown how she also loves her character and even posted videos of her reacting to the game and getting emotional.
I know he was describing it humorously, but there is something genuinely relatable about Aerith as the sweet, exciting girl you meet in the city and Tifa is the childhood friend and the girl next door. It's the Betty Veronica dynamic, and it's something that I would hope everyone could relate to.
I actually hate how everyone used to talk shit about him, hes always been nice and also did amazing jobs with his movies. Late 2000 people were just hating on everything
She's trying so hard to embarrass him about what he's talking about but he just keeps speaking passionately. You can tell she's actually annoyed that it doesn't have an effect on him.
A shame to see Zoe so insecure and feel the need to take everything as an insult to her and women. Hopefully she'll grow up one day and feel better about herself and stuff around her.
remind me of the time where i replayed the whole games because my brother tricked me into believing i enter the "wrong route",the scenerio where aerith die is tifa's route..and my 9 years old ass believe him and delete my save data on the memories card because i want to safe aerith

"Poor women, we have to heal everyone" A good party leader understands the importance of the healer, love how she also ignored his follow up quote "she wants to make the world a better place"
I know everyone is appreciative of the guys sharing a binding moment here, but i cant get over how annoying that lady was. The MOMENT she heard it was a video game she tuned them out. She didnt actually care about anything they had to say she immediately presumed anything about a video game story would be negative and/or problematic. He did describe tifa inadequately in a way that would shut her down but im sure she wouldve found another issue with it regardless. Go watch The Lighthouse or Good Time. Pattinson's become legitimately one of the finest actors there is
"Perhaps I have treated you too harshly"
Robert seems like such a chill person.
Robert: I can't decide.
Sephiroth: Don't worry, Bro, I'll decide for you.
This is the most adorable thing in history.
Robert, I now understand why girls used to have a crush on you. You are just perfect.
Robert is a real man. A man who can lose 1K Brownie Points in front of a girl for going off on his love for FF7, but not giving a crap, and likely, enjoying the reaction of Zoe Kravitz. What a troll, what a man, what a treasure.
I love Pattinson and respect him even more for this video, but I’m sure it helps when you’ve been a highly successful movie star for over a decade and you’re filthy rich to ignore 1 girls opinions… 😂
I wish I had his problems, he’s a cool guy!
To be fair he didn’t do the game justice when describing the personalities of Aerith and Tifa
This is like when I found out Henry Cavill was a Warhammer 40k fan... Mad respect Robert, a guy who is willing to just lean into stuff he likes even if it was/is nerdy.
The editing here is phenomenal
To be fair. After Roberts explanation, it doesn't really sound like a good story.
But still it triggers me. "This is the problem with the world!" If she knew, she'd WISH she could ever play a character as well written as Tifa or Aerith/Aeris.
She has. They're not that well written. Watch a good movie, games dont compete, at least ff7 doesnt
It's not how well written they are, doesn't matter. She's the kind of people who wouldn't try videogames because they are childish, sexist, wrong, etc. There's a lot of people like that, closed minded to new ideas and experiences, videogames are just another media like Music and Movies, a well done videogame is art.
@@jfmg64 certainly reading into a lot there buddy .
@@SpecialAgentDaleCooper-FBINah, it's written on her face
It’s always been Aerith, it was just a bad localization for the Anglophone world. But, yes, even all these years later, Aerith is still jarring to me.
Her name was always Aerith. Aeris was just the name in the English PS1 release. The bad localization of FF1 prompted Square to do future localizations in-house, which is why all future versions say Aerith.
If you've spent any time on the internet since 1997 and read anything about FF7 you'd know it
This mainly forced me to play the original before the remake, 8 hours In and still hooked
Her first response was _"Poor women we have to heal everyone"_
She hates doctors then.
This.
I studied medicine, and I like to play the healer/support role on RPGs and MMOs.
However, I'm a man, so I don't know exactly how I should feel about what she said
learn to take a joke lol she's just ribbing
@@PrinceJayRealno
Dude shes been privileged her entire life and still plays the victim. @@PrinceJayReal
He was one of us the whole time, and we didn't even know it.
Me, remembering how I used to talk about him: God... What have I done?
It's funny looking at these comments seeing how right in line with his character you can see from the batman interviews. Robert is very smart and fun and it usually shows how nerdy he really is.
Superman plays world of Warcraft but Batman plays Final Fantasy 7 👏
Zoe literally can't believe the conversation that's happening next to her. 🤣🤣🤣
My brother is a Man of Culture, he's like your big bro that will convince you to play rpg back in the day 😂
This is the funniest vid I’ve ever seen. I can’t stop rewatching it.
The crazy thing is that even in the original the truth was that Aerith/ris was the BOLD one while Tifa was the SHY one.
Cloud’s memories section was the highlight of FF7 relationships!
Robert could’ve played Cloud in a different timeline 😂
I never played as a kid and I’m playing through the remake and aerith was what got me hooked.. I am now crying and seeking to f*** up sephiroth
Robert Pattinson, Henry Cavil and Timothee Chalamet have got to do a twitch stream together.
It would be wonderful seeing Aerith's VA (Briana White) reacting this video and responding to Zoë Kravitz's comment, considering that Briana has already shown how she also loves her character and even posted videos of her reacting to the game and getting emotional.
Batman confirmed Clerith fan. Massive W moment.
I know he was describing it humorously, but there is something genuinely relatable about Aerith as the sweet, exciting girl you meet in the city and Tifa is the childhood friend and the girl next door. It's the Betty Veronica dynamic, and it's something that I would hope everyone could relate to.
I thought only Henry Cavill was one of us but I'm glad I was wrong about that.
Henry Cavill : Warhammer 40K enthusiast
Timothee Chalamet : FPS gamer
Robert Pattinson : FF fan
Crying on my bedroom floor at 8 years old. Last time I cried.
My respect for Robert just went up 📈 . Gamers never age, and the stories are indented in our heads
I actually hate how everyone used to talk shit about him, hes always been nice and also did amazing jobs with his movies. Late 2000 people were just hating on everything
Right? People don't get that acting is a job. He didn't actually write, script or direct twilight right 💀
@@infiniteoctopaw yeah, now nerds fuck with him just because he likes games 💀💀💀 so stupid
twilight was shit tho
"Im standing back and allowing you..."
Then tell that to your face and expression girl... Lol
ME CONVENCEU!!! MEU PRÓXIMO RPG VAI SER FINAL FANTASY VII!!!
He's just like me... HE'S JUST LIKE ME!!!!!!!!!!!
She's trying so hard to embarrass him about what he's talking about but he just keeps speaking passionately. You can tell she's actually annoyed that it doesn't have an effect on him.
The head nod at 0:12 sec. He Instantly knew... Like he was saying... "I got you brother"
A shame to see Zoe so insecure and feel the need to take everything as an insult to her and women.
Hopefully she'll grow up one day and feel better about herself and stuff around her.
Rob is an instant family member when i saw this interview
The way he just laughs at the thought of Aeris dying 😂😭 1:04
I can't believe i used to hate on this guy, he seems totally cool.
remind me of the time where i replayed the whole games because my brother tricked me into believing i enter the "wrong route",the scenerio where aerith die is tifa's route..and my 9 years old ass believe him and delete my save data on the memories card because i want to safe aerith
The day FF7 has routes is the day it becomes a Visual Novel 😂
Your brother is a madman, lol.
I swear, whatever prejudice I have of this guy for playing a sparkling vampire, its all gone now.
lol Robert looks so excited talking about it. I never expect him to have. a crush on arguably two of the most iconic female game character, I'm so in love with him.
"Poor women, we have to heal everyone" A good party leader understands the importance of the healer, love how she also ignored his follow up quote "she wants to make the world a better place"
I love how both men get deep into the explaining 😂.
Its just sad to see enjoying video games is still frowned upon as if its morally incorrect and watching TV is morally correct
Zoe Kravitz is a sheltered liberal woman that had everything handed to her on a silver platter from the moment she was born, what do you expect from someone like that ?
