Man, I wish this treatment was available 7 years ago when I started balding and actually went to a doctor about it. He prescribed me Minoxidyl, which did absolutely nothing. I took it for a year then stopped because there was no effect. I struggled with this a lot mentally, remembering the doctor saying "then there is nothing you can do", and trying to accept that I'll look like an old man before even having grown a beard. Last year I finally lay off all the shame put on me by everyone around me who called me petty and shallow for caring about my hair. But I still had people telling me shit about medication. I got a hair transplant a year ago and it was the best decision ever. And now I finally decided to stop listening to people and go on Finasteride too. I hope it's not too late. I started making a gelatin tea over a year ago and my hair and skin feel much better after a year of drinking one cup of it daily. What I do is I take a tablespoon of grass fed and pasture raised gelatin powder and pour 5 fl oz of cold water into my coffee mug and let it sit for 5 minutes after mixing it with the powder. Then I add near boiling water from my electric kettle to the coffee cup and let it sit for another 5 minutes. Then I add manuka honey (or any honey) to give the drink a nice flavor. Its been shown that a tablespoon of gelatin a day is good for keeping your hair healthy and it has made my skin feel better in general. I would also recommend drinking green tea daily just for your overall health and keeping the free radicals at bay.
@@soysaucehairdye7869 Even if we leave the blatant ethics of what you’re suggesting off the table (for now). What is the evidence that gelatin is good for skin and hair? Edit: use grams ffs too.
@@soysaucehairdye7869 Because it’s so fucking irritating that Americans refuse to join the progressive world. Are you seriously using Dr Berg as a source for your claims??? What about graying? If the follicle is no longer producing pigment, does that mean it’s reaching the end of it’s life and miniaturization will soon follow? Or are the two unrelated? Electric Octopus
The two are unrelated. However, interestingly enough there may be a connection, the mechanism of grey hairs may have been discovered recently, and it is related to the hair cycle. And because one of the distinctive features of AGA is a decreased shaven phase, the hair cycle will accelerate and potentially accelerate the potential for greying.
Everytime i wash or style my hair i end up with a few dozen hairs in my hand, but they're usually shorter than my hair length. So i guess it's just breakage, i am however quite careful so i'm not sure if it's at all avoidable. I'm at medium length right now, hopefully i'm not going to notice the breakage later, but i don't do really neat/tidy/straight hairstyles anyways so i doubt it will show up. I'm using argan oil right out of the shower, i feel that helps unstick the hair and cause less friction overal. Anyways, i'm not (yet) worried about hair loss, i don't have any signs.
Trav, what’s the best hair tie to use to prevent breakage? My hair is really fine and straight, literally 1a, so i tend to get breakage everytime I remove my hair ties, like 3-6 hairs come out every time
scrunchies can help prevent breakage but they do tend to look a bit girly, so otherwise there's also spiral hair ties. Which do sometimes tangle because of the shape but your hair is straight so it's less prone to tangling around it. Also claw clips are a less damaging option as well as headbands, just make sure you get a headband without teeth and/or even with softer material than the metal ones because the metal teeth can sometimes damage hair.
Yo Trav does getting hair checked out "as early as possible" include 18 year olds? I wanna keep as much of my hair as I can, and there arent any signs that I can visibly see yet but I still was thinking about getting a checkup to catch anything before it miniturizes. Electric⚡Octopus🐙

Thanks man I know I’m real young and shouldn’t be thinking about this but every time I watch you I get more and more compliments on my hair. Electric octopus
ELECTRIC OCTUPOS
I get this problem where my hair is dark for inches, then it gets thin and white for a centimeter, then it gets dark again. What the heck is that about? Electric octopus
Stress. When there is grey in the middle of the hair strand is indicative of stress.
New research has covered this! Waves of stress can temporarily gray your hair!

@@samdaniels2 Dr. Berg had a good video on it. Also why the hate on fl oz? Its pretty easy to convert fl oz to the metric system.
@@soysaucehairdye7869 Because it’s so fucking irritating that Americans refuse to join the progressive world.
Are you seriously using Dr Berg as a source for your claims??? Are you actually being serious?
So you’re going to promote something that is not only greatly immoral, but you’re doing it on the word of a quack?
It's most likely miniaturized hair, I have the same thing going on.
