I love the part at the end where Def shows the club line up as proof that people want to see his act. You were just one comic in a list of others who all had 8 minute sets. You know who else was there? Jeremy Piven..I'd bet my life savings that the vast majority of people at that show were there to see Jeremy Piven and his 20 minute set and you just happened to be one of the people they had to sit through and politely chuckle and clap for because they're in a good mood and possibly intoxicated.

I watched ded noodles for a while and enjoyed his content as light entertainment. But quickly realized that he is pretty spineless in his opinions. It made me organically turn away from his content. It’s interesting hearing this side of your opinion now. It confirms a lot of what I’ve been realizing slowly but surely.
same... I watched him a lot a few years ago when just had like.. 14-15k subscribers and his content was basically him reacting to things about the Philippines.. I really liked how open minded he was by our culture and he seemed to be really interested in it.. but looks like the fame got to him.

I was watching him pretty religiously for a few months last year and then one day I saw one of his uploads and my brain instinctly went, "mmmmmmm no. Don't watch." I have not watched his videos since so I guess I sensed something off before it happened.
Hmm same. :( Actually, it was kind of Kavos' fault that I stopped watching DefNoodles too because I saw the way Dennis reacted to Kavos' critique of his videos, and his response to it was quite off-putting. As a comedian, why not use it as an opportunity to actually befriend and work WITH Kavos? I, too, saw that clip he cut re David Dobrik and I was waiting for him to play the entire clip and he never did. This also isnt the first time he's done this in his videos, just very disappointing.

@@jessepierce9046 first of all, not everyone watches his videos and is a fan of his like you are, so making the assumption that just because you get it, other people is ignorant and arrogant. We know he's doing what he likes to pass off as "satire" so he won't get too much backlash when he reports false news to fit his narrative but what he's doing is dangerous in the way that he sometimes does report ACTUAL news and doesn't feel the need to edit out what the context actually is. Then there are moments like this. You can't blame people for finding that shady because, "Oh! He was just doing "satire" or being an edgelord who's not as witty as he thinks is. His schtick is ineffective and he compared himself to Jim Carrey in Ace Ventura and Stephen Colbert, two of the most talented comedians who actually do satire and play a role effectively that people know when they're trolling and are consistent in their portrayal of their alter egos.
Now imagine, a new viewer watched his videos and took it at face value. Studies have already shown that the majority of people just scan headlines and base their judgment off of that. Combine that with Dennis' poor execution of his alter ego reporting the situation. It's not that fucking hard to put a disclaimer just to simply clarify things because him cutting it, even as a poor attempt of a joke, (especially, since he has already been called out for doing this after he had his "defenders" go after Nicholas DeOrio and AGAIN, conveniently cutting out the part where Nicholas is vocal about how he didn't agree for Dennis to get hate. This also aren't the two other incidents, he's done this before and people were in the comments section blasting the person he edited clips off to fit his prejudice and preference.) He's showed himself to be a dishonest content creator by not only editing videos and deliberately cut things out of context to fit his narrative, he also did this by showing how he made fake DM's. A LOT of people actually believed those DM's were real, and he never bothered to make any indication or remark that he faked those DM's so it got lumped as, "Oh this must be true", and again, let me repeat, you cannot blame people for thinking this way because he has actually shown legit DM's and a lot were shocked when they found out he faked DM's he reported on.

Many drama channels don’t show their faces and many who do show their faces get a lot of negative feedback. It’s a challenging business to be in since drama can be dark and dangerous. Trying to not make it personal honestly makes sense

I watch DefNoodles everyday as it's a good way to catch-up on all the UA-cam drama in a few short minutes...but I've never thought he was funny at all, so it's interesting that he considers himself a comedian

I used to follow him but I noticed anytime, ANYTIME, someone disagrees with him or has a critique of him, even from fans who approach it in a very respectful and pragmatic way, he becomes defensive and/or goes on a blocking spree. Kavos has sponsorships and a large following, I doubt "envy" is the cause of why Kavos is making actual, rational points and calling out Dennis for making slanderous claims numerous times and labeling people, awful things, with no basis. Kavos is not in the wrong here.

Satire would be something like making apology videos every day even though you haven’t done anything scandalous.

End of the video: "Thank god I watched this video with an open mind". I never knew any of this info, I think that's what a lot of his supporters feel, including Ethan. H3H3 showed the James-related tweets made by Defnoodles, surely they weren't aware either. Thank you for shedding light on this, I hope more people know about him. I hate James as much as the next person, but even 1 misinformed tweet can create a domino effect of where... victims wont be taken seriously anymore bc "omg what if they're fake/memes too". Yes, that's the major part that stood out to me throughout because H3H3 and many others used Defnoodles as a reference for evidence.

When I first found him I enjoyed the couple of videos I watched......I think I must have just been really interested in whatever topics he was discussing in those vids, because afterwards I subbed, then quickly unsubbed after watching more
