are you going from stock halogen or stock hid on the truck itself? Having a hard time finding a solution to replacing my headlights with aftermarket. 2013 Platinum :(
Probably a dumb question but I’m a little confused about the size bulb that you used! I have the same aftermarket headlight and want to get a replacement bulb upgrade to hid or led. What size bulb should I get?
I appreciate the video, I really do, but I think most people could benefit from simply swapping the OEM halogen bulbs for LED bulbs. This is the path I went about 2 or 3 years ago. My lights a white instead of yellowish and they are a lot brighter. There's no wiring involved when swapping halogen for LED bulbs. I bought the bulbs on Amazon. Edited to add: LED bulbs do not need to warm up, they work as soon as you turn your lights on.
I have the same headlight assemblies as the ones in the video. Those assemblies have halogen projectors, I ordered AuxBeam LED bulbs for them and I can’t see shit on the road. I’m going with HID now.
Yes led bulbs are an upgrade but there isn't a single led bulb that comes anywhere close to the lumen output of an HID system with a ballast. Easiest-Led bulb Best and Brightest- HID kit with ballasts.
You stated these were H11s at the beginning but listed H13s. I bought H13s from your drop down and they do not fit these headlight assemblies. I do have the exact same one you do. So are they H11s???
AKKON, just received mine yesterday. Do not put LED bulbs in them, I made that mistake and spent $70 on them and can’t see shit on the road and clocked the bulbs at 3 and 6 o’clock. I could definitely see way better with the halogen bulbs that came with it, adjusted the assemblies perfectly and still couldn’t see with LEDs. Im definitely going with HID!
Looks great!! I just put the same ford grille on my 14 f150 and simple led bulbs. Looks way better!! On Thursday I’m putting on 33 nitto ridge grapplers and 18x9 fuel rims. Please Chk out my raptor grille video!! I will upload a new video of the tires on Thursday

So the hid bulbs never caused melting or any issues in those housings?

Yes I realized soon after I recorded the videos but I'm happy how bright they are compared to before
Was thinking the same thing. I was like, uhhh that beam pattern doesn't seem right and also looked a little on the lower side

I got an H7 HID! They are better for that type of housing than LED’s

Spyder calls for H7 and at one point I could see an h7 tag on the bulb as he was showing/installing it.
I used an H7 kit on mine and it’s the same headlight!

I bet you bent the hood safety pin for the remote start.

Yes but only takes about 20 seconds to be 💯
I had them on my Nissan altima , but now I'm trying to find them for my 2010 ford f150
