After hearing Lizzie say her glamorous assistant was going to appear - I ended up watching it twice, and sorry must be missing a bit of filming - as Sean appears and winds the bed down. 🤪🤣
The only thing I do not like on this van is the electric hookup point in the van's side. The Dub Hut in Ashford who built my beloved campervan, carefully conceal all of their electric hookup points in the very centre of the front bumper - hidden in the midst of the black plastic sections - rather than leaving unsightly plastic squares on the van's exterior. (its a nice touch).

Great video. My camper is basically the same as the one here, we keep our cutlery in the oven/built in grill in a cutlery tray. If I could change one thing, I would have not opted for the grill and had another storage unit.
I like the blue kitchen as well. Keeps up the theme. I’ve always liked the recessed hob and sink, easy care. Seats look comfy.
I wish North America Volkswagen would bring these vans and camper vans over. I miss my 03 Eurovan. Glad you are safe and sound.

Nice van but I don't like the rock and roll bed, it tries to do two jobs, neither of them very well. A flat travel seat rather than sculptured then an equally uncomfortable bed on the same surface. A rib bed is so much more comfortable and practical in my opinion. Sculptured seat then a mattress type on the back.

You might as well buy a real one at that price! Am I the only person who think all these Del-boy conversions with their super huge alloys, grey carpet lining and "funky" colours are naff?

Great review thanks guys, top drawer editing too 😊 we love these vans, when first looking this was the first converter we looked at as they seem to offer excellent quality for a reasonable price and they seem to have nailed the colour schemes and personalisation 👍 like you though with a big (ISH) dog 🐶 not quite enough space for us but a lovely van 😁
I used to have a camper king campervan. They eventually bought it back off us due to all the issues we had with it.
What issues did you have x
@@Rosietheginger leak in roof. Came back from being fixed with other issues like scratches in paint work etc. Just a terrible experience really.

I never thought I'd be temped to buy a van but the outside and inside colour scheme combo is so close to what I would like them to be it is almost uncanny.
Great review guys, I actually really like the blue inc the blue trim on the outside! I have that exact sink/hob combo and can safely say that it is amazing. Its large enough to cook and wash pots at the same time... Your glamorous assistant was brilliant - I also want the VW table and chairs they have in their waiting room... How epic are they??

£55k and still looks very budget inside with a budget rock n’ roll bed. Paying a premium for the looks in my opinion

We bought our Monte Carlo conversion from CamperKing with our desired interior etc back in March 2019. I now wish the grill was a storage Unit and the bed, which I find so uncomfortable, I find impossible to return to seating as much strength is needed to lift the centre, right side of the bed whilst pushing it forward with your knee, so my other half has to do this. Seems this design might have been improved upon! Can't believe the price of one today. I certainly would not pay this price for one.

Hi, I've got the same set up ... Take a look at the versions Needingworth Campers make they used to use camper king but have changed to a new version and still around 52k and it's allot better. I personally don't thing the camper king it worth 55k to be honest even the highline. I paid 40k for the same van however it was a startline with all the upgraded parts other than front fog lights.
Mostly like it, but no cutlery drawer, really? And storage space is minimal. We prefer the track and rail system for the rear seat / bed for greater flexibility. Good review guys.👍

Waiting for the pandemic to end and people being able to go abroad with no problems before I buy a campervan. I could be waiting another year or so but then hopefully the used market will be flooded with campervans and prices drop.

Sums up the whole T5 camper scene. Terrible decals, terrible font. Terrible colour combo. All for 55k. Shocking.

Budget built but with a high price tag. You can do much better for the money
Seriously compromised bed design which combined with poor wardrobe design. Very little depth to rear of backrest for bedding means you wont be able to get into the wardrobe door for your clothes unless you access from outside. All the pointless wood boxing in around the bed frame just wastes space. For the same money buy a vw coast. If you want an independent converter their are so much better designed vans than these.

Whilst the conversion does look amazing, I can’t understand why you would buy such a small van for that much money. You can have a much larger van for less than £50K. Is it just because you’re paying for the VW name here?
Many reasons for some not to buy a bigger van. 1. The van may used as their only form of transport. 2. It goes under car park barriers. 3. Less difficult to manoeuvre down small country lanes. Takes less room on a driveway. 4. Great residual value. I could go on😉
