The gross weight of that truck with the tag axles is probably 110 ton loaded so 10,000 pounds of Truck would be crushed by the weight that it would be carrying maybe 15 ton empty
Too fast, brakes failed, gone hog wild doin the whip and through 300' of guardrail and went 300' over the embankment and NOBODY KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED! This truck empty weighs around 33,000lbs and loaded 92,000lbs it's a Class 8 Weight truck.

That guard rail saved the driver's life. Look at 1:05 of the video. The truck eventually drove over the plate beam but not before the guardrail had absorbed a massive amount of energy from the truck. It lessened the impact by shearing 300' of wood posts and stretching the plate beam steel in a controlled manner. The world cannot afford to be bubble-wrapped at every corner.

Guard rails are not designed to take a perpendicular hit.

With modern technology guard rails need to be replaced with up-to-date to where vehicles like that don’t go over 300 foot embankment
