Promoting our culture as much as we can, perhaps one day it will be international. Haiti for life
Please help me to put Haiti on front streets I'm sorry I'm not trying hijacking your channel. I'm back and forth from Haiti to Miami every two weeks and i have a lot of grass roots in the streets videos that I'm going to start up loading starting tonight. Showing Haiti and Haitians in a positive light ! A lot of Americans and Dominicans Are posting A slew Of negative propaganda about our land culture and people. so with you guys help and collaborations my mission is to promote the heck out of Haiti this year and beyond! Please help me and thank you very much -
Haiti for life

@@haitian-americanculturecre8179 Hey Dear,
Just let me know how I can help!
Indeed!!!
Right on
Yes I agree with you but you got to present the real kompa not what Just see it was kizumba and Gouyè that you promoted. One advice to you take time to do some research or perhaps go to haiti and specially to the province take time to look at the people dancing without gouyè and you will learn and promote de real hatian kompa.
This is why I love Haitians music and the dancing is so 🔥
Lol♥️😙😊

The dance either looks like they got arthritis or that they’re trying not to shit

I love how African Haitian music sounds. Shows how proud they are off their roots 💜

It does have that African twist, like Congo people

Hi Dalia how are you. Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪 to Haiti 🇭🇹. Hope you’re safe from Covid. It’s a lovely video. Wish you a lovely weekend 😊🌹💃🏻👍🙏 Michael
Wow family dance and music Angolan Kizomba and Traraxinha. Both originated from Semba which is about 700 years old dance. African roots like telepating troughtout the genes ✊🏿 love from the mother land
No it didn’t kompa and bachata derived from merengue/ meringue. A dance which the French danced with a partner called the French minuet. The Haitian and Dominican slaves put their own twist to the dance in the mid 1700s calling it meringue/meringue. Semba is nothing like merengue it’s not even a sensual dance. Kizomba on the other hand is heavily influenced by Latin American dances and semba. at one point before Angolans decided to follow zouk you guys even called y’all dance Angolan merengue before making it y’all own culture. Your music and dances wasn’t sensual till the 1970s until y’all heard zouk which is a faster pace form of kompa. Haitians and Dominicans been dancing like this since the 1700s and it’s well documented. The island of Hispaniola had no connections to angola when this dance came out. And no one in africa was dancing like this till Angolans started doing in in the 1970s.
@@gboarhtur3402 Tell them!!! People need to stop acting like our culture can’t Influence others. Not everything came from Africa. We created this genre and they were influenced by us.

Much love to Haiti from america. Glad you guys are getting the recognition and respect you deserve. Not many of us are hip to your culture. Jamaica dancehall reggae is popular. But this is beautiful at the end when you guys lined up I was screaming. I love it romantic seduction captivating 🤣🙌🏿😝
The English speakers are just now catching on with this relatively new Gouyad sound but it's nothing new in the French Antilles. the French Caribbean has been down with Haitian music for decades upon decades because Haitians played and also recorded there heavily. Haitian music influenced zouk a lot. In fact, Kassav's Jacob Desvarieux wrote their best known title ''zouk la se sel medikaman nou ni'' in a hotel in Port-au-Prince, after listening to Coupé Cloué play. Panama loved them some old school Konpa Direct too despite the language barrier. They say they played Tabou Combo and other Haitian bands at their family functions, birthdays, confirmations, weddings etc. Francophone and lusophone Africa loved Konpa Direct too. The thing about Haitians though is that they never went all out to market their music internationally (the money wasn't there to do that anyway). It tended to be more word of mouth because the HMI is a tiny circle and they tend to not care for the big label rat race. Plus Haiti was always kept purposely isolated on the international stage and that impacts a lot of things, right down to music, so the attitude is to enjoy making music for your people first and foremost rather than deal with all of that.
It's been all over except usa, it's been Africa, in the America's, Hispanics, France, Canada, except usa
I always come back to check on this video☺️ We killed it guys🔥 anpil gouyad pèdi lavi yo😂 we need more of our projects on here🙌🏽
