  • Paul Walker didn't even read the script before he signed on to his beloved "Fast & Furious" role. Access Hollywood’s podcast “The Vault” unearthed an interview with the late star in 2001 where he revealed the "bizarre" way he snagged the lead part in the hit franchise, sharing, "The way it came about was really bizarre, they came to me and presented this idea, that’s all it was at the time ... They didn't even have a screenplay, they didn't have anything." He also noted that his mind was telling him no, but his heart told him to go for the role. I still remember when I heard about his death... I was at a restaurant and I passed it off as one of those fake news reports that were popular at the time where celeb deaths were reported before they were confirmed. His death hit me harder than any other celeb I can think of. I grew up right out of HS watching TF&F movies and they are always my all time fav and go to series. He died too soon and his death hurts...

Litte bit of the backstory. I was heavily into modifying my 1997 Civic Ex coupe back way before this movie was filmed I had put my first Nitrous kit and AEM air intake in the car and some rims. I was working out of the Fontana area and I got invited to a presentation they called it "Redline" The local flyer was asking for people with modded cars especially imports to attend. I did attend with my Black Honda 1997 Civic and it was at the San Bernandino Abandon Air Force airport. I had no clue who was in the scene what was it all about just thought sure why not Its about import cars I am all into that. So it turned out that it was for the filming of the RACEWARS in the DESERT scene. My car got picked to go to the front of the cast area near the strip. I was stoked. and that is the first time I had come up to Paul Walker and thought who is this White boy? I was like he does not look like the import kind of guy. Saw VIn Diesel he looked pretty cool bad ass to me anyway. But I had no idea that this would be the beginning of all the Fast and the Furious showcase.

Back on 2001, I was barely 10 years old. I wasn’t much aware about the web but I was already a screen-addict since I watched TV and played games a lot. Was the time when I watched MTV a lot and trailers for movies like X-Men, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and Fast & Furious were on heavy rotation ! I scarcely went to theaters back then so I didn’t see FF1, in fact I’ve only watched FF4 in 2009 while on a plane to New-York.
    Man, brings back memories.

Such a talented actor he was, his role as Brian O’Conner in the fast and furious franchise was how he became famous and how the fast and furious movies is where it is now today so, if it hadn’t been for Paul Walker to begin with, fast and furious would have dead as hell so Paul Walker was the 1 who brought a lot more fun and joy to the franchise. I wish he didn’t die, I wish he was with us today. RIP Paul Walker we will always remember you, always miss you and most importantly we will never forget you. 😭😭😭😭🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾♥️♥️♥️♥️

What a sad loss for a true professional and absolutely a humble man and I do cry when I watch the Fast & Furious franchise but Tokyo Drift is not should have been made as to me that is my opinion. His Reach Out World he goes out and help volunteers like doctors and nurses and you never see him in the papers online media when he was alive. My thoughts and prayers go to Paul Walker’s family, the Fast & Furious cast and all his closest friend’s RIP
