Also, maybe let everyone know why the valves have to be grounded! Love the electrical and plumbing repairs/fixes. It’s just very satisfying getting something from one place to another. Great job guys.
Great episode. Nice catch Roberta with reversing the valve handle. I wouldn't have thought of that. Sounds like you are 2 weeks away from splash. I can't wait to see Odd in the water. Fred needs a shirt!!!! Stay safe.

Duca... you should listen to Roberta more often, love the music that you put on while your working Roberta and you have a lovely pair of legs, your such a lucky guy Duca to have Roberta at your side.
Roberta I really enjoy your comments..."just my labourer, he's being a guy, we have a correction to do". Are you guys sure you don't need a municipal water engineer for your plumbing? A small tip, label your hoses so a few years from now you will be able to deal with any maintenance issues. All joking aside, your boat refit is looking amazing. Stay well.
That is such a good idea.. You don't need to rip everything apart.. And trust me you will forget shine off these details. Otherwise you can always go over these videos.. Ha ha ha..
The build up of minerals in some of the older brass will come out like new if you soak them in CLR, works great, safe for environment. Thanks for another great episode, keep up the great work.
That water pump and pressure accumulator installation was really done very well. Looks like a professional did all the work. Should give you years of service. Looking forward to splash day. Stay safe and well. Hugs, George & Debby Brady
Hi Crew ,, Another great episode guys . Work on the pipes and fittings has really come out neat , and should be trouble free for many years . Good job ,,and to you Fred . So close now . I just know it will all go well for you .. Much Respect from Down Under
Your editorial skills are getting(have been) so good. Love watching you guys and all you do. Your interactions through the camera are first rate. Any ideas about once you launch the boat and the time it'll take to actually go on a trip?
Time to change your intro - lol. Love your channel, we look forward to Mondays! Your enthusiasm, work ethic, and good nature is inspiring. Even though we are landlocked in Calgary, you guys have revived our dreams of buying a sailboat and cruising Canada's Westcoast. Thank you and have fun completing your project!
I'm so excited for you right now. All this time and work and it's getting close to SPLASH! I'm proud of the both of you for taking this on and making it so amazing and beautiful. Hopefully, one day we'll meet up out there on the blue :) Cheers from Canada
Hi looks like you are doing a great job! I was wondering if you have considered prefiltering the water you get from shore before you put it in your tanks. I made up a double standard 12" filter setup with 2 - 5 micron carbon filters that I would connect to the shore water with a short hose and use a longer hose to the boat or my camping trailer so I was putting clean filtered water in the tanks. Might be a good idea if you are traveling to places that have sketchy water quality. Good Luck!
Hi. In this video we showed the system we mounted. But now we are just using charcoal, not clorine because we have a aluminum water heater and it can corrode with clorine
Duca...I suggested to you to use ptfe string. Then if you assemble pipes a little out of line you can screw them back 1/4 turn without leaks. You don't have to strip and reassemble everything
Agree. The ptfe tape is also easy to get leeks with sideways force. If you can't get the pfte thread then glue with loctite 577 or hamp and paste. Anyway if not gluing remember to ripp upp the topp of the threads.
Four Faucetts? OK I am going to guess 1) Fresh Water 2) Sea Water 3) Filtered Fresh Water 4) Heated Fresh Water Fifth Faucett Duca would like to have on the boat 5) Farrah Faucett
Very very nice job. I love working on my boat too and you are an expiration for me sometimes... just one thing by the way, why did you chose to have the overflow through the focet instead of directly to the outline of the sink? Thanks!
Another accomplishment completed. Will You test all water systems while still on the hard? You are so close to the launch, now is the time to insure no mistakes and maybe slow down a bit. I believe you plan the keel work toward the end. Respect and best wishes always.
Hi guys. Great job as usual and thank you for your great story. I must admit I'm confused. At the first of the video it seemed as if the salt water went to the pressure tank but later I gather that the big pump for saltwater is under the sink and doesn't use a pressure tank and the pressure tank is mounted with the fresh water pump. I've never seen an overflow/vent as a faucet but seems like a good idea. Cheers!
Hooray, you got a heat gun. A tip for pressure tanks, build the manifold and attach to the tank with a union. When the tank goes bad, you can replace it without rebuilding the manifold. Also, can you lay your favorite pans and dishes flat in your sinks. After a few years aboard, you will see why it's important. Stay safe.
The timing of this video was great. Was having a rough time, this helped me to calm down. Thank you for being you. Keep up the great videos and projects. Loved the moment Duca got judgemental looks haha (you literally said: STOP). Also love how much Yoga is involved. Such a small space to work in. That Fred butt on the timelapse though XD. Very gray, much wow.
The best advice for any technical system is to keep it simple so that there are fewer problems to deal with later. And as great as modern materials (PTFE) are, hemp is still the best material as a sealant for a water installation. Hemp has the advantage that it swells in connection with water and remains tight even if the screw connection loosens a little.
Hi Duca on the systems I work on the accumulator is fitted on the suction side of the pump to take up the Delta P when the pump starts the pressure drops on the suction side so the accumulator puts pressure to the suction side of the pump inside the accumulator there is a air filled blade which is set to system pressure is has water around the bladder which it pushes out when the pump starts if you have to much pressure in the bladder you will not have enough water to be pushed into the system. I do not think it will work on the outlet of the pump.
Duca for the pipe you loosened up when installing the faucets add a support bracket so the pipe will be stable and not loosen up plus you can zip tie the tubes that are just hanging around under the sinks.
Roberta is a great project manager and Duca great labor 😁
