I love that you answered some questions about skin and pregnancy. Can we get a pillow talk Derm on Saturday that talks about a full regiment that you can do when you're pregnant that is safe
I discovered you a month ago. I bought a bunch of products including retinol 😅and now I’m pregnant . Could we please PLEASE have a long format video? I went to my dermatologist during my last pregnancy and she said there is litterally nothing to fight acne and hyperpigmentation during pregnancy and breastfeeding…
Oh! Something that really helped me (I just had my healthy baby) is The Ordinary Azelaic Acid 10% Suspension and Naturium 8% Sulfur Spot Treatment for acne and spots. Dr Dre has a pretty solid video on this, too. Good luck, Mumma!
This comment is probably a biit too late for you. But as pp said: azelaic acid. But also lactic acid, glycolic acid and even certain kinds of vitamin c might be helpful.
Retinol for example accelerates celular regeneration, you wouldn't want that as you're trying to grow a human. You'd want your cells to grow just right. Excess vit A is toxic if I'm not mistaken
@silviamoreira6171 it's just unexpected because I also looked if topical Roesmarry Oil is safe to used as an alternative during pregnancy. But unfortunately, herbal oils and herbal drinks are not well studies because it's very difficult to test this on real pregnant woman to avoid causing harm to the mother and the baby. I wish there are safer ways to do more tests on pregnant woman 😪
@@zestyzain not only herbal teas but some foods are also to avoid during pregnancy. I know that there's this one tea (can't recall which) that is known to help induce labour, same for some foods. Other foods it's because there's a high risk of it carrying some bacteria, which would be ok in a woman that's not pregnant but infections in pregnancy are to avoid. But to be fair I'm not a health professional and just talking about my personal experience
Ok, let's not blame the buses for air pollution. Public transit is literally keeping additional cars off the road. Plus most cities are trying to switch to electric or biofuel buses. Trucks and regular cars are way worse for creating air pollution.
What about breastfeeding? I heard no retinol … anything else? Also what about for a Mama with many babies so she’s always breastfeeding one after the other.
But, why do they say that you cannot use retinoic acid (I know it is because there is not research about it) if they also say that topical retinoids are not absorbed by metabolism?
Lol love that you answered about donuts
And How serious I didn’t even get that at first 😂
Your reply was top notch! Especially the donut advice 😂

As they both said ^^ also, kojic acid is safe!
@@chal813 what about salicylic acid? Benzoyl peroxide?
Also no androgen blockers like spironolactone, finasteride, dutasteride and bicalutimide etc
Can you talk about what procedures can be done, facials? Microblading? Massage? Waxing? Dilipatories? Manicure? Pedicure? Gel? Acrylic?
Especially since you don't ingest anything you use as skincare. Hydration and nutrition are key. Thank you for the eclairs suggestion as well lol
As a french...merci for the last one 😏😉
Ladurée has great macarons 😆

What are your thoughts on Botox while breastfeeding?
Oh snap. I didn’t know this. I used adapalene through both my pregnancies 😮
That’s reassuring, I would sometimes spot treat with adapalene but got scared because I found out later it’s bad
Is Licorice Root Extract safe in skincare during pregancy?
Thank you ❤
What side effects does retinol have on baby? I accidentally used it for multiple months
Why not use Monoxidil/Rogaine in pregnancy? Or while trying to get pregnant?

@silviamoreira6171 I forgot to mention that I was asking about Monoxidil specifically 😅!
@@zestyzain oh 🤣 sorry about the answer then 😅 I think it can cause birth anomalies like heart defects and neurodevelopmental issues but not sure

What can be used in place of salicylic acid during pregnancy ?
My dermatologist told me minoxidil is safe during pregnancy. Why are you saying it’s a no?
I've also read that it's not safe. Might want to research that one further on your own.
I found a product that has bio-retinol in it. And says pregnancy safe. Is this recommended? It’s an azelaic acid serum, but has added bio retinol.
Can LED masks be used? Thanks
what about azelaic acid?
The end was quite random. I thought you were going to give an alternative to retinol for pregnant women.
Bakuchiol and peptides are the alternatives for retinol during pregnancy
❤❤❤❤❤you’re perfect
So CeraVe SA cleanser is a no go?
Can you use rosemary oil topically to scalp for androgenetic alopecia while pregnant?
yes but not tea tree products
Is there a difference though in risk between a perscribed retonoid vs an over the counter retinol? The latter are way less potent right?
Yes
Can you suggest clean makeup brands
clean is a non scientific, non regulated term that literally doesn’t mean anything.
Can anyone use ordinary peeling solution during pregnancy??
Ooooooo I would say definitely don't. That's the one with BHA, right? The Mario Badescu glycolic acid wash is safe and worked wonderfully for me!
Thank you for saying you've had miscarriages. I've had one too and mentioning it is still rare.
How about benzoyl peroxide facial wash?

Why is minoxidil a Nono?
I would love to hear your story of why you went with ivf
But, why do they say that you cannot use retinoic acid (I know it is because there is not research about it) if they also say that topical retinoids are not absorbed by metabolism?
because better safe than sorry
What about allantonin in skincare?
following this
N95 masks are good for polluted city air and bad air quality
Anyone else really wanting eclairs now?
Donuts😅
I have six kids, the worst thing about pregnancy for me was melasma.😳
