I use to live across the street from Clara ward and her gospel singers, the groups would come and hook up the amps and we would have church right there on the corner,it was beautiful ❤️. A lot of people got saved on the corner,God is still listening.all you gotta do saved on that corner. This was in the 50's and God is still listening.

The Gospel Caravans was founded by Robert Anderson. Robert Anderson was a singer and song writer. Mahalia Jackson recorded his "Thee only hope we have is in Jesus" and "Holding my saviours hand" when the Gospel Caravans disbanded Albertina Walker took over and rearranged the group.
I was born in 1954 and have not heard this song since the 60s. Thank you so much for posting. The choir at my grandmothers church sung this.
