@@memesfromdema5032 Indeed, my friend

My people singing „hey hey hey hey we have a discord“
I love how this interview was pretty much better than all of those "professional" interviews from those tv and some radio stations. Well done!!
Definitely.
oh hey, I know you
HEEEEEY!
Hiii
PILLOW PILOTS Hey! You’re a verified channel now! Congrats! How’d I miss that?
-what if Rosie doesn’t like your band? -she doesn’t cry when i sing, so that’s a thing.
37:00 :D
“This is the most normal conversation i’ve had with anyone”
42:15 and 42:36 is when he says this :D
i swear we should just interview them for now on
We know what to ask!

This was great because it was so personal. Way better than any interview.
exactly why i liked it!!
hearing him just sit and talk about what he’s passionate about is literally my favourite thing
2 things that I realized from this:
1. Tyler is the best idol ever (and so josh)
2. Clique is the best fan base ever🔥🔥
I don't think we should idolize Tyler (and I have to catch myself on that sometimes too), but yes. They're both AMAZING people
The same with Aurora Aksnes and her fandom :)
Best people
Omidreza T not the best fan base
Yeah gothboyclique
I hate how u didn't say *Tyler and Josh* are the best idols ever instead of this:(
bathtubtyler?? this man
Bath time pilots😂😂 yeah sureee
hopefully nobody's kneeling in the bathtub
Inkless Studio why did you do this to me? 😂💀
I must know what the connection is now
Quite similar to yours though, isn't it?
This is why knowing your material is important when interviewing someone. The questions were so thoughtful and it gave us a chance to get a peek at Tyler’s creative process. Thanks again to the mod team that put up with all the technical issues, it was really worth it
This was an incredible QnA. We got information on Dema, we got his opinion on some cool things. This is 100% the best video/interview/QnA, it doesn’t compare to any other interview.
LOVE your profile pic btw.
@erica that's so cool!!
tyler: "i feel like maybe i'm less interesting now that im a dad...?"
*silence*
carlo: "... YEAH"
37:15 :D
This is the best tøp interview I’ve ever seen. Tyler is so down to earth talking directly to the clique, and not with some radio host or corporate guy. This way, he can say much more without having to worry about any rules or things he can and can’t say. Also, these questions are coming from his biggest fans that know what they’re talking about, and not some clueless interviewer that asks something like “So where did the name twenty one pilots come from?” I’m not saying that’s a bad question, in fact it’s a good question for newcomers. But for longtime and well read fans, we want to know the juicy stuff, and this interview gives exactly that. That first question hit it out of the park, and while it may have just been for comedic effect, you could tell Tyler was blown away by it.
Also at the time of writing this I’ve only watched the first 8 minutes of the q&a, but I can safely say that this is gonna get good.
You wrote ALL OF THAT after having only watched/listened to 8 minutes?? 😂 Now I question everyone else 's "this is the best q n a ever" statements
questions:
6:50 - is there any part of Dema lore that no one has discovered yet? (tyler talks about vialism, neon gravestones and relationship with their label)
17:37 - why did you decide not to use the word s****** in the song neon gravestones?
19:40 -did the break from social media help with the creation of the record?
23:20 -when you started releasing stuff on the dmaorg website did you stay up to date with what fans were discovering?
26:43 - what is the one project, visual or music that was never released that you think you really could? (fairly local fight scene and unreleased music video for migraine)
33:38 - are there any fun stories from being a dad or difficult adjustments to make? (being a dad and naming rosie)
37:00 - what if rosie doesn't like your band?
37:50 - how has spending more time with rosie and jenna affected you?
41:00 - navigating the line between public and personal life and what he feels comfortable talking about
45:00 - talking about announcing jenna's pregnancy in Berlin
46:19 - how does it feel to have influenced so many fans to learn to play the uke?
48:22 - any artists that influence you? (Deathcab, Billy Joel0
50:58 - seeing Ben Folds
52:18 - josh asking Post Malone to perform with them
56:57 - favourite pokemon
57:33 - wrapping up and talking about discord
bro just saved my life
2:23 DO MY PEOPLE HAVE A DISCORD omg he called us his people
We are his kind
We are his blood
why does that make me so happy
the one dislike is poot because tyler didn't wish him happy birthday
Love it when he talks about Neon Gravestones. I don't understand why people don't talk about that song more because it really is one of the most important songs, not only in the storyline, but also in Tyler's career thats been written. If you understand Neon Gravestones you basically understand the entire idea behind Dema. So glad that Tyler made the decision to put it on the album because its an incredible eye opener and really does talk about suicide (thats barely talked about in the first place) at a very different angle
I love how he refers to Rosie throughout interviews “blob of skin” “small human”
Favorite part when he said his label told them they didnt have any fans he replied with "oh honey I know" 9:52
tyler was clearly so happy to talk to us. the fact he wants to do this again is amazing. it makes me so happy he’s able to talk to us. this interview was personal and meaningful. plus hearing things about rosie makes my heart melt. baby fever 😭
“I want to avoid finding out that you don’t like me” literally me with Tyler lmao
Spaced same
53:50 :)
This was 3 years back, Why did I find out about this just now ? 😫
how did tyler not completely get distracted by the chat im over here zoning back and forth between tyler and the chat messages omfg
hi edith
55:28 he seems to have that problem too lol
Now I'm just imagining Tyler in his studio writing music and watching Rosie on the monitor while Jenna is sleeping. ❤️ That was so sweet that he shared that.
it's v wholesome 🥺
This was a great interview but I still wanna know why he hates bananas...
Signed, the clique Banana Man
His mom made him eat one every day because they're healthy. XD
wait atl banana man
@@takemysoul4200 Nope! I was the Chicago Banana Man for 10/17/18 and 12/15...?/19
@@lilflo36 wait wait, were you the person holding up the banana sign thing or I'm pretty sure someone dressed up as a banana? was that you?
just your average clikkie I was the person in the banana suit signed by like 400 people or something like that lol
this is one of my favorite tøp interviews because it doesn’t really feel like an interview
yeah it feels like more of a conversation rather than an interview
It has to be said that MARK IS SUCH A COOL DUDE
Mark is an og
"it's poot's birthday!"
Tyler: *YEET*
This should be done more. It seems like Tyler is miles more comfortable here than he is in professional interviews. People ask the fan questions, and he gives us detailed answers. It was very fun lmao
The only interview where Tyler has ever been close to being this comfortable was the one with Zayn Lowe
“I’m a dad” THE CUTEST PART OF THE INTERVIEW
I love how you called Tyler “the man, the myth, the legend” in the description
tyler joseph is the master of answering a question with a completely different topic 😂
Crazy how we’ve been missing the entire part of dema and it was probably the craziest most meaningful part.
@@autumnalexandra4724 I think they're referring to where he explains Vialism at 15:00
I missed this because I was watching “All My Sons” (the play that inspired the name “twenty one pilots”) and I had do not disturb on. Dang.
Wow, painful irony.
Forever forgotten :D
That's funny you say that, would have missed it because I was reading the play if my friend didn't tell me it was going on.
Oh no! You could have written "tyler i love you" or "tyler, is josh real??" in the chat
I also stop crying when Tyler sings. 💛
• First question (6:53): Is there any large part of DEMA/Clancy that is out there but no one has discovered or any major connections not made? Are there any pf them that haven’t been made yet?
__________
• Second question (20:02): Did the break from social media and the fan base for a year help with the creation of Trench? Were there any ever moments you were tempted to come back earlier or were you ever tempted to wait longer?
__________
• Third question (26:43): What is that one project, visual or musical, that you’ve never released in the end and you think it could’ve been really good?
__________
• Intro made by Mark for the fourth question (33:28)
• Fourth question (33:39): Are there any fun stories from being a dad so far or any difficult adjustments into fatherhood that you’ve had to make?
__________
- Question from chat (45:53): How do you feel about people bringing ukes and stuff and playing outside before and after shows?
I saw part of an interview where Tyler once explained why they don't use curse words, and the reason he gave sounds very similar to why they don't say the word suicide (and love really either) in newer songs. To explain it in a different way. I just thought that was very interesting.
Anyways, I'm only at 19:28 and oh my gosh this is the best thing ever.
_"Let's go on a hiatus."_
😂😂 Why did I think it was funny how he said that?
It just ended and this was so cool.☺😊
josh is so wholesome, i can just imagine him going up to postie and say, “hi, wanna come on stage with us?”
Oh my gosh-
Now I am imagining Josh asking me if I want to come on stage with him and Tyler
ugh, i love the fact that this is so comfortable for everyone-
the post malone thing was just so iconic
I'm so glad he elaborated on that
@@jeremyyyyyy_s me too it was kinda surprising when it happened
I could tell the interview would be great as soon as he answered the first question
“I can’t imagine not having her now” 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
because a bath tub to you, is not a bath tub to me. ok friend?
hey, it's ollie if anyone recognises me from the discord server. i just wanted to give a big thanks to the mod team for putting up with technical difficulties, nak having to contact a discord dev and over 800 people being in a vc at one point. although we had 5 minute slowmo the channels were still hard to read and we had people left and right telling us to calm down. this is why discord clique is my favourite server; it's okay now. everything's fixed and it went from pieces back to perfection as it always does. love y'all!
The VC peaked at about 1400 before we switched to UA-cam Live
We hadn’t had any DEMA lore updates or content in months and now we get THIS. god bless the Discord for being so diligent and amazing.
Now we just need Joshua
Oh wait, *he doesn't exist*
I WAS AGREEING AND DOIN GREAT TILL I PRESSED "Read more"
JAIL
Wait y’all still make these jokes?? 💀💀
38:16 "go back to being cryptic tyler, thatll fix it" in the chat. Im guessing tyler took that advice
Tyler and the gang: Doing interview
Chat: "Jones BBQ Foot Massage"
19:30 WELL YOU'RE REALLY GOOD AT IT lmao I love her
We stan vee
tyler: talking about personal, emotional topics. talking about how he made the songs/albums and the art of it. describing ever detail.
the text channel: *now it's time to get funky*
Even when Tyler talks sounds like he`s singing poetry
Tyler's voice is home😢💖
I loved how they just let Tyler talk and didn’t interrupt him. It gets so annoying listening to interviewers asking the same questions or interrupt Tyler/Josh when they’re talking. This was a nice breath of fresh air and you can really tell it was conducted by a group of fans and not clueless interviewers.
This has got to be the best, most intimate, most enjoyable piece of media I have ever heard from this, my lifetime favorite band of all time..
I so adored hearing the 'inside baseball' stuff regarding 'neon' & I frickin KNEW there was deeper shit with Vialism!
I mean, think about it! Tyler's been thoroughly, obsessively tweaking on these subjects since adolescence! He named his first pro album 'Vessel', for gosh sakes, & I can't recall her name now, but during hiatus, this super sharp kid noted that the neon sculptures the bishops were making in N&TN(& in the visuals at the live show) actually resemble the Kanji ideogram for 'light' & it's not as if they've never subtitled a mv with an Asian language before (& I know the symbol is also the band logo), but this all just goes to show how the story is just as deep & multi-layered as we all knew it was!
'3 lights lit, but the 4th one's out' & the microphone-light in the F.L. mv & in 'Stressed Out' & the trippy sculpture in his room in N&TN that looked like a neon Dema-scape! & think about the way they designed this whole show & world! The show begins with Josh & his torch, & the car is aflame through the whole concert, & it's like Dema=a false light 'captured' in a vessel, or a vial & Trench(even though you're not safe yet)& the Banditos=true fire: free & wild & dangerous & hostage to none..the bishops wield their sick power because they're holding dominion over a 'cold fire'..
Okay, last one: there's an old reference from who-knows-where that compares certain choices & behaviors by saying that some are 'carnal, profane, & vile' & that others are 'righteous, humble & just'..that acting from the motives of the former was to live governed by the desires of the flesh; worldly, unworthy concerns, the wanton nature of an empty vessel (a vile one at that) ruled by it's basest hungers.
A life spent in fear & despair, under the influence of the corrupt bishops, worshipping the shadow of Light, a false sun(Son), a twisted, heatless reflection of the true fire of faith..all of it culminating in the most ignoble & spiritually criminal death possible, one with the evil contagion & virulent repercussions only suicide could engender. THAT is why we MUST escape Dema. Only because our lives, & our SOULS depend on it.
All my love, suki
Ac Gardener Wow. Thanks for putting so much time into this comment!
@@ax6527 You are the sweetest! Thanks for taking the time to read it!
Muchlove, suki
I can't imagine Trench without Neon Gravestones. I love that song!
loved this, tyler is so down to earth and it is so nice to hear him say that he felt he could have a normal coversation. love it
"I am a dad" I'm s o f t 🥺
This and the zayn lowe interview are the best interviews of Tyler
“connected through this small human” 🥺
that was honestly the best interview ever, i just hope you do this again!! it was so much fun
😭😭😭 the people he workd with are so dramatic LOSE HIS CAREER?!
Dude, man's a fucking genius
I'm so happy he didn't take neon gravestones off trench, it's one of their bests imo.
Ikr??
man, i wish more of this continued, i mean ig they are really bus with sai, but it would have been nice to have more of these. it just seemed really natural and all, because we actually understand this. tyler wouldnt go into lyric meanings, or lore in interviews because he knows they dont understand it or care like we do. this was just all around great, and i really hope they do more. (also the fact that tyler saying this was the first time he can just talk is kinda heartbreaking)
I love how he is so much more opened about telling us about all this stuff, than actual interviewers. He knows we know what we are talking about, he knows we know we'll better understand what he is saying. He doesn't want to talk to people who probably know very little things about Dema, that will lead to simple questions that everyone else knows already. He is more comfortable with us because he knows that we'll understand everything he says, and that is special. It shows that he wants to connect with us and wants to probably go into rants about Dema with us. This. This is why Tyler and Josh are so special. I don't think I have ever seen another band that go to the levels they do (besides maybe MCR, but they're beside the point rn). He makes sure that we'll understand certain things before just straight up throwing it at us. This is why I love Tyler and Josh and why they are so amazing.
when the word “birthday” came out Tyler was like “oop, gotta jet” 😂 classic Ty
Neon Gravestones is my favorite track off that record. I'm glad he kept it in.
i like how yall didnt just bombard him. it sounded like a real interview
LOOK GARY THERE I AM

2024 Tyler - let’s drop 14 music videos within 2 months!
i cant believe i missed this
I watched this live and got so emotional, Tyler was really personal with us and that hasn’t happened for a long while. It was so nice to see him open up.
i admire tyler joseph so much. i have no words for how much i love him
I love how comfortable he feels with us compared to interviewers
so interesting about Neon Gravestones. that song spoke so much life to me.

The people asking if Tyler is allergic to Dr. Pepper, pleasee- 💀 When did this start?
a girl on twitter had a dream he was allergic to Dr Pepper and brought it up to her friends and then they all had some recollection faintly of hearing Tyler was allergic to Dr Pepper, so they’re asking to see if they just dreamt it up or not 💀
@@evieallsop5110 that's amazing 😆😆
that sounds like something he'd say jokingly in an interview tbh
That first question... wow, now I love Neon gravestones much more. It's definitely my favorite song from Trench, just such good writing
Woah how have I never seen this before
I know. I hope they do it again one day 😭

Best Tyler Joseph interview ever.
I actually started playing ukulele because of Tyler. I just love all the songs and being able to play them and sing along makes me so happy and proud of what I accomplished and I can’t help to sing along to music it always makes me feel free and singing clears my mind.
This is such a fantastic interview.
Thank you guys so much, this “interview” was something that the whole clique needs, I appreciate your work a lot. So now we barely know and understand things we’re all wondering about. I don’t know what can i name this talk, cause this is not just interview, this is much more.... friendly talk? Much more idk what we can name this . Thank you again for this
I've heard this interview two times. I'm here for a third one, not because there's information I don't know, I'm here just because I just love hearing Tyler talk.
If you think I'm going to listen to an entire hour interview well you’re right.
very cool and good
wow. his description of Neon Gravestones was so impressive. i will never listen to Neon Gravestones in the same way! and thats a good thing ❤️😭👏🏻
Ok this is probably one of the best interviews, I mean these questions are just so damn good.

discord clique interview, my beloved
i love this. tyler opens up way more with us, because he knows we et it. he knows were actually interested and care. those radio shows wont really understand, but we do so thats why he opens up in the way he does. idk if its true, but i heard once in an interview someone asked "whos clancey ?" and tyler sked where they heard of him, them replying "off the record" obviously they didnt actually care cos he was never mentioned on the album, so he just skipped it.

this is really so cool. i love that tyler chose to interact with fans in a more personal way and even said he’s checked out the server on his own. he’s a genuine guy and i love that he makes an effort to connect with us
WHEN HE LEFT AHAHHA
I understand comments about professional interviews but on the other hand guys who do that as job literally have to talk to hundreds of people and they not always have time to go super deep on any fandom. It is quite logical that fans understand everything about band better
Though it is nice to have such connection of course
I think it depends on the proficiency of the interviewer. For example,Zane Lowe's interviews always offer an insight to the artist's creative process , no matter whoever he is interviewing. Another example of superior interviews were the faceculture ones. I was completely mesmerized when I first watched Tyler's interview with them. TOP wasn't that big back then yet the interviewer cared to do some research and genuinely wanted to know what the philosophy of the artist was.
@@nicolasbourbaki8251 they are truly amaxing:) i do not give extra execuse to the ones who literally do not apply any kind of affort for preparation
