Remix' took the highlight of the battle with his drop in the second round but Osis took the battle with his superior structure. Still the closest battle in the event and both deserve major credit.
@s.L.a11 Osis drop's is cleaner, but not as heavy as Remix's. GBB need beatboxers with drops like those, that's something missing last GBBs. Everything going based on structure and technicism kinda boring, but battles like this are the ones that are more balanced and I love it... I prefer Remix drops though, he needs to improve to be as clean as competitors and he'll break it

I just wish Osis' could come through the mic with a hair more power. He has the tech. He has the crazy timing. The swagger, confidence. Full package. But in an era where dudes that can make mic sound like God himself dropping thunder on the stage, he gets overwhelmed sometimes. But this battle proves that tech and precision can beat power, so long as you don't have bass-biased/louder-is-better judges. Julard made it though because he's got that French precision, sick counter-ability, and obviously the window-shattering voice.
This matchup was such a want this year for me. The most mental battle in years... I cannot explain how much I enjoyed each round... for me this feels similar to the battle between Brez & Rythmind, where both deserved the win so much that the community is like split 50/50. Can't believe how good this was. Both artists deserve the utmost respect.
People tend to forget one of the things in GBB is trying not to do really similar things every round, variety gives you a lot of points and wow factor and we had already seen remix do everything he did in these rounds and Osis especially his 2nd round was so unique and swaggy and brought new things to the table👌🏾
I have been waiting for this matchup since the discord era of beatbox in 2020, both were insane in the online scene and to see them now battling it out in the biggest stage is phenomenal to witness 🔥
Was so glad I got to witness this live, for me this was the best battle of the event. For the people saying that Remix should've won, in my opinion Osis won live and after watching the video I'm certain the right decision was made. My feeling at the time was that Remix seemed a bit repetitive where as Osis had more musicality and variety to his beats, also the sound system wasn't the greatest live and that made it hard to separate them, but I gave it to Osis Both were absolutely insane though and this was definitely such a close battle.
@s.L.a11 A lot of the times with counters it's not actually about having the better technique (although it is better if you replicate it better than the other did it) but it's just the fact of being able to do it and stealing that energy. Prime example is Remix vs Ice, that inward bass counter from Ice was probably the best counter of the entire competition but his inward was certainly no where near as good as Remix's inward

I rewatched it and he looked sad and went to hug remix for winning then heard Scott say Osis and turned to him in surprise. He obviously didn’t know he won, but he deserved it
