You are doing it wrong. You have to snap in the Metals AFTER you have completed the Frame! If you're building 3 Meter high you will know why. Trust me. This is how it's done in the Factory.
There are screws underneath each shelf to mount it to the tubing to give it mid-span support, so it doesn't collapse with heavy books on the shelf. I have a second hand unit with those screws missing, and a bent shelf as a consequence. I don't seem to find a screw that threads into the tubing. Is the official screw an M4 screw and my tubing has its threads destroyed from the previous owner, or is it meant for a sheet metal screw? I didn't see you putting in those screws in your video (the screw holes are visible at 11:40 in your video). Did you put them in eventually? What kind were they? Thanks!
Ganymed, it's a sheet metal screw and only used on 750 tubes. USM refers to it as; 10104 USM Haller, cross recessed sheet metal screw 4,8x9,5. The 500 and 350 tubes don't have holes.
Vielen lieben Dank.
Klasse Video! Ich liebe den Song 😍

Some novices use the panels to make sure it's square when tightening the connectors. I agree they should be removed after that.
What are the holes at the edge of the panel? Thanks~

Omg how do I find that Allen key
Isn't the side panel inserted inside out here? (12:03)
Great video, I’m moving and now need to dismantle, and I keep losing the expander into the tube, any video to do that properly ?? Thank you!
Hello Karmei, we had the same issue and created a little video of the 2 methods how to ease the connectors: ua-cam.com/video/yt-swQIDZoE/v-deo.html
Do you know anyone here in Melbourne, Australia who can assemble this for me please
