Just want to let you know how amazing and inspiring this is! True art and not just sticking figures on a shelf
I really appreciate that. I like to consider what I do with my figures art. It is like 3-D drawing. Seems like my displays are inspiring people from the comments I am getting. I loved making this video and want to make more for different teams so people will be able to change from the (like you said) figures standing on a shelf) to cool explosive displays. Thanks for watching!
EXCELLENT WORK! #3 was my favorite display. LOVE Avengers West Coast! Great way to keep them alive. BRAVO!
It's amazing how you manage to get so many characters into a tight space and yet nobody is obscured or hidden, definitely inspired me to change up the display.
Thanks for watching! Making these displays can be time consuming and frustrating to get just right, but if you take your time, the results are so worth it. My new video right now is giving me trouble, so it is taking longer than usual. I have to take a few days away from trying to build the display to reignite the flame when I sit back down to record the video.
Dude I love the poses on these
I appreciate that! I have been working on those posing skills! It can be hard sometimes to get it just right, but it really does pay off in the end!
You are really a good at dynamic poses great displays. I also like to make dynamic poses, it gives personality to the figures.
Thank you! I really to aim to bring these hunks of plastic to life to resemble that which I read in the comics!
@@thewallopinwebsnapper yes that’s another aspect of collection in my opinion (the art of posing action figures).
West Coast Avengers is worth the read. Hawkeye branches off and starts the team. Hawkeye is the leader until US Agent joins the team. Hawkeye temporarily moves to the Midwest and starts the Midwest Avengers for.a while
Great video, I love your display ideas for posing figures. It's really inspiring. Thanks for sharing!
Awesome video! Some really nice posing.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed!
Your displays are some of the best ive ever seen. You deserve way more views. Also thank you for keeping your teams accurate to members that are actually on the teams
Dude, I really appreciate the kind words! I am working on getting out there to get those views! Thank you for watching and supporting, it means a lot! I am in the process of uploading another display update as I am typing this- Stay tuned!
Nice review on how to pose the WCA! Good effort. Like 1 or 2. Hope to see more!
Thank you for watching! Glad you liked this kind of content. I am currently working on another video similar to this so stay tuned!
Guys, my bad, Hawkeye was THE FIRST leader of the West Coast…. So my mistake. He should be front and center anyways!
That was an awesome display tutorial. The West Coast Avengers posed up like the artwork is really cool looking. Nice job 👍
Thank you for the kind words! I got a video coming out this week! Make sure to turn on those post notifications so you don't miss it!
Man I disagree All your displays were Amazing!!🤯👏👏
I appreciate the kind words! Thanks for watching!
My favorite display was the first one, but I like all of them
Thanks for watching! I liked the first one a well!
Been watching your vids…just subscribed. Your displays are really nice.
Thank you for the sub and kind words!
love your collection vids
Appreciate that, thanks for watching!
nice
This is an Epic display of pure Love for telling a story by setting up moments thank you for sharing and where do you buy the flight stands from😅
Hawkeye is most of the time the leader of the west coast Avengers.
Awesome video and awesome displays all around. I think the first one is my favorite. My first ever comic book was an issue of West Coast Avengers with them facing off against Graviton! Awesome issue! I think you are a lot younger than me so I was surprised you had this display in mind. Great stuff and so cool to see such a display. I'm currently taking out some Avengers from my main display (rotating one) to form a West Coast display. However I still haven't decided exactly how I'd do it. I love your poses for basically everyone, but since I'm an Iron Man guy then Rhodey and Tony might be my favs. Also love your inclusion of the shield throw. I haven't tried it yet but I have that piece and have been considering trying to fit it into my Avengers setup. Now I definitely gots to try! Cheers bud!
Thank you for the kind words! I actually was given an old West Coast Avengers Comic featuring Dark Hawk. I still have the issue and love the art! I also moved some figures out of the main Avengers display and into the West Coast. I took out Tigra and War Machine. I have another Scarlet Witch that I am letting a friend borrow at the moment, so I will eventually get her back to throw into this display. I would also like another classic moon knight to put in as well, but for now, this is a good line up and I am happy with how it turned out. I loved display #1 too. If I had more room, I would go with that exact set up! Feel free to send your display pics to my Instagram (Link in bio). What all are you moving around?
@@thewallopinwebsnapper My current Avengers display has what I guess is my interpretation of an Avengers timeline. It doesn't have some of the less famous members but a little bit of variety from over the years 1963 - 2003. I am trying to decide on which display for War Machine, which Tigra where, and whether or not I should add another Hawkeye on the Skycycle to my list. I don't think the old Hawkeye is too bad but I never had him actually and he was expensive until recently. I have the Toybiz Legend of him with the cool arrow but it's still mint on card. Hey, I'll try putting up some Instagram stuff if I can figure that out. :D Thanks for your kind reply!
Oh and so cool about that West Coast Avengers issue you got! Yeah I thought the art was really solid over the years and I bought the whole series after college. I still haven't had time to read all of them though (maybe cause they are in the states and I'm in Japan). Doh!@@thewallopinwebsnapper
I love your videos!!
Amazing as always.
really makes me want to pick up that 5-pack 😅
When I saw the initial posting of the pack, I was disappointed, but like I said in the video, I am very surprised with how much I liked it. Put it on your list!
Awesome! Can you make more videos like this? Thanks
I definitely want to make more videos like this. I am surprised that it is not doing better to be honest. None the less, these videos are fun to make so they will continue! I have other teams I want to do so stay tuned and drop any suggestions you'd like to see!
Fantastic as always 🎉
Have you tried the Hank’s head on the Bruce Banner body? Also, Target has the correct Moon Knight for the West Coast Avengers.
You are right, I ended up getting him and got him in the display now!
i have all those as Heroclix. The WCA usually wins most battles especially with Hawkeye and Iron man on the team (in his old Silver Centurion armor)..
Yes. I am planning on buying the West Coast Avengers epic collection so that I can read a good chunk of their first adventures!
Cool video I was the 9th one to like
Tienes Mucho Talento Para Posar Las Piezas. Quedan Muy Bien Exhibidas.
Amazing stuff, i’ve been working towards completing my West Coast Avengers and i’m just needing this box set. On another note, what type of wire are you using for your flights stands? Amazing video, love your collection.
Thanks for watching! As for the flight stands, I use metal clothes hangers. I think I’m gonna feature myself making some in another video, many have been asking me about this so I want to show y’all how I do it. ( the coat hangers I have came from a dry cleaners so I’m not sure where you could buy them)
I think you have the best on the shelf displays, and I've probably seen hundreds if not thousands of collections. You really motivated me to put levels into my dynamic displays. I've been afraid to use the coat hangers like you do, don't they have sharp ends that could scrape up or damage the interior of the figure? Or do you blunt the ends somehow or with some material? Or are those not coat hangers?
Wow that means a lot! I really aim to create a display that makes me feel excited and into collecting when I look at my it. Seems people like my style and I hope the videos help people step their display game up as well!
Now for the hanger stands: Yes, they are coat hangers that I cut up and shape into stands. (I am probably going to feature this in my next video. I do not do any special preparation for the ends of the hanger that stick up into the figure. For marvel legends, the hangers may scratch the inside of the butt area of the figure but nothing visible. It slides inside of the figure, so it doesn't take paint or leave visible scratches for me, so I do not have a problem with the risk of scratches on the inside of the figure. But I will add a segment into the video about all of this because it is a common question I get, and I think a video will help more helpful than a text-based explanation. Thanks for watching! I am finishing another video today so expect to see something cool!
@@thewallopinwebsnapper Awesome! Thank you so much! I look forward to your video, and hope to see more of your displays in the future, or at least hear more of your thoughts on aesthetics!
You should start doing action figure reviews as well
I have certainty thought about how I would do a figure review differently than what others are doing, and I have some ideas. I would be curious to see if those videos do well. As of right now, my display videos do the best. Depending on how the West Coast video does, I will be making a series of content that is just like that video. I am always looking to make new content though so who knows!
This is awesome, i need to read up on this team tho as i don't know a lot about them (i know fake marvel fan lmfao)
If you live near a local library, I’d recommend trying to reserve the epic collection for west coast avengers! I enjoyed that one.
@@thewallopinwebsnapperi will definitely see if they have it now, this seems like a cool group! Also, i was wondering if you'd ever show how u pulled off the super villains display in detail, (in trying to build a unique lineup myself ngl lol)
@@cheesywheesy14 you know it’s funny you say that because 1. I myself have struggled a ton with getting a decent super villain display. I find the most difficult part is actually figuring out WHO goes into what group. How do you categorize them?
2. I actually was trying to make a video but sometimes when I record me doing set ups I don’t like the displays and then I go to practice posing them and then all of a sudden I have a display and I’m like… well there goes a good piece of content…
My recommendation for actually making the display is to look at your avengers and mimick their poses in more extreme ways and make the set up look similar. I separated my villains into super villains, and then masters of evil/ d list villains. It’s tough because idk what to do with someone like crossbones, aim, Hydra, or other villains that aren’t really apart of teams. Still thinking it through but those are just some of my initial thoughts.
Feel free to DM me on insta to talk more! (Link in bio)
Yo this is amazing great job man my one question is that is some of your flight stands customs because if they are how did you make them
They are custom made hanger stands. I made a small tutorial in this video: ua-cam.com/video/Kd6gveFutn4/v-deo.html It is at the 6 minute mark.
@@thewallopinwebsnapper thanks man
When are you going live next
what do you want use to support your characters flying?
Hanger stands, I have a clip in one of my videos on how to make them!
You should do it with Alpha Flight
I would for sure, unfortunately I do not have any Alpha flight figures as of right now and do not have any serious interest in that team. I gotta narrow my focus as much as I can so I can maintain some control over my collection haha! Thank you for the suggestion. Keep them coming and if I have the figures for it, I would like to make videos on them.
What kind of wire do you use for those displays?
wire Hangers!
What stands are these that you’re using
They are custom made hanger stands. I made a small tutorial in this video: ua-cam.com/video/Kd6gveFutn4/v-deo.html It is at the 6 minute mark.
Did you sue the Walmart irony centurion as opposed to the one with the west coast set?
Yep! I think the metallic one looks better
@@thewallopinwebsnapper same!
War Machine and Iron man weren't really on the team at the same time. Infact Rhodes wore the red yellow iron man suit in the first issues. The rest of the team thought he was Tony Stark for a.while. Scarlet Witch and the Vision were together on the team for an arc or two
@ 3:24 who’s the dude in the back with the scarf? Pym?
Good question…. I don’t have a clue! Haven’t read a ton of west coast material.
Hey guys, he is Hank Pym. @@thewallopinwebsnapper
@@openitandplay4844 I don’t recall Hank Pym looking like that, do you?
It's a short stint when he gets revitalized after nearly committing suicide. I know it sounds crazy, just run with it.
@@SHADOWtech.-
@@SHADOWtech.-it was a look he briefly had in the early issues of the west coast avengers just before he adopted the red jump suit
Where’s scarlet witch?
I have to get another for that display. I will probably get the vintage/retro wave Scarlet Witch. Not sure if she will go with the Avengers or West Coast, but that way I will have 2.
