I think he's one of the few comedians who you don't have to worry if he can make you laugh, because he just tells stories that are genuinely worth listening to.
I've listened to his acts and sets over and over again, and still enjoy. as you said, just genuinely great stories. Him and Tommy Johnagin and Chad Daniels. Great story telling comedians. I never get tired of em.
I appreciate comedians who don't have to curse to be funny. I don't see too many of them, not that people who cuss aren't funny, but sometimes it's better when they don't, at least from my experience of listening to comedians, and my preference I suppose
The delivery from 3:05 to 3:10 is amazing! Either he worked his ass off getting that sequence down pat, or he's just so naturally good at comedy. I'm not sure which it is, but kudos to Nate. This is some gold class comedy!
Nate is an incredible stand up, I love him. Everyone should buy his album "Yelled at by a Clown" it's excellent and most of his jokes are much better in the long format.
I love Nate & first heard him on Pandora, which plays the same tracks again & again and yet I still laugh every time. I love his delivery and point of view on humanity that feels to me is rooted in acceptance & kindness. He's got that likeability factor similar to Jim Gaffigan. I'm so glad to see him appearing on Conan!
I like how he can still be funny without doing a single impression, just using his regular voice the whole time unlike most comedians who dabble into a little impression of their friend or whoever they are describing. Told the story very well, great delivery and timing, hilarious :)
Is that offensive to you or something? I have never known of anyone taking an issue with someone imitating their friend's voice. It makes sense if you are comfortable doing them that you would because the words you are saying were said by them anyway. Also, sometimes, the cadence of your friend is imperative to the story, even if not their accent or anything. But Nate is awesome, just found this odd.
@@pretzelmaker3122 not offensive, huge fan of standup but it’s one of the more common elements of it. Nothing wrong with that it. It was def refreshing as far as the type of stand ups I’ve seen (and still enjoy) and I was just praising how funny he can be in his own monotonous delivery. Don’t take it too seriously bud, have a great rest of your week.
@@johnestupido1418 I come from the past. The far off year of 8 months ago, where Nate wasn’t resurfacing on many featured events and podcasts since then. How is the future btw?
My late ancestor did not like Tennessee so he moved to Illinois and the name became Bargetze later on it became Bargetzi and some of them kept the Bargatze name and some of them are still Pargatzi last named.
I pulled this exact McDonald prank on my buddy in 2010. He had the exact same reaction. He drove straight back to the McDonalds, only the drove thru was open, and proceeded to smash the bitten burger onto the front window, yelling from outside until the manager came out. He got his money back and we went straight to Wendy’s…also our other pal who was working the drive thru that night got fired. We were in grade 11. Haven’t spoken since…
I think he's one of the few comedians who you don't have to worry if he can make you laugh, because he just tells stories that are genuinely worth listening to.
I feel ya
True my friend.
In fact, with this guy, it works even better as the jokes are seamless - you don't even see them coming.
I've listened to his acts and sets over and over again, and still enjoy. as you said, just genuinely great stories. Him and Tommy Johnagin and Chad Daniels. Great story telling comedians. I never get tired of em.
plus, he does make you laugh
I love that he's so calm, the opposite from most other comedians who think they're funnier if they are loud or if they highlight every other word ..
you mean like Kevin Hart?
He is very calm! Like he is just sitting around a table telling stories. So that’s his thing and works like “magic”!
I hope he does take over late night one day!
@@PrashantSamlal And Aziz
Tig Notaro also has that mastered 😆
The art of story telling......this Guy is good!

Totally agree
I agree
Totally
I like both, it just depends on the comedian and the strength of his jokes!!
If you like that type of comedian, Ahmed Bharoocha has some funny sets.
Just discovered him. My new fav comedian! So funny!😄
He is hilarious and his humor is clean. I love it!
Yup! Well said! Saw him live at Wilbur Theatre in Boston. Front seats! Oh my he was soooo good!!💟

This guy has the most laid back delivery I've ever heard
so funny
This guy is so comfortable on TV. He'd make an awesome latenight host.
Seven year update: he has a video podcast, and it’s better than anything presently on late night.
9 year update, hosted SNL, sells out tours and gaining more fans than ever ❤
I’m seeing him tonight in Paso!!!!!
10 year update: He’s about to host SNL for the second time
Nate is an incredible stand up, I love him. Everyone should buy his album "Yelled at by a Clown" it's excellent and most of his jokes are much better in the long format.
He is the kind of regular chill guy who would make an awesome next door neighbor.
Knowing who Luis J Gomez is makes this story 100x better!
prolly flipped out on him again for not saying the J
How do you know that’s who he was talking about
Hell yeah doggy
Luis is suuuuch a douche man come on...
spridle That’s why laughing at his expense is so enjoyable.
He never gets old, same story kills me over and over
Really? I love Nate but I'm really sick of this story.
He is hilarious! Just saw the Netflix special and in love! sending his clips to all my friends
Here because of Dan Soder's story on JRE today! 😀
You can tell Conan genuinely enjoyed this one; as did I. Great set!
I've said it before and I'll say it again: My man Nate is like FEDEX...He always delivers.
Fists in the frier made me burst into laughter :D
that makes you laugh???
Yep. What's wrong with it and why should I care?
Maksims Ivanovs you obviously care, otherwise you wouldn't of replied
gawgarin that is the stupidest fucking response in the world that everyone uses.
gawgarin Dumbass, he said "Why should I care", not "I don't care".
Fucking plebs in the comments these days.
Geez he's so natural like he's talking with his friends or something. Awesome comedian and great storyteller.
I love that this was really wasn't a set, it was storytelling at it's finest. Flawlessly executed.
Great imagery towards the end..

Only dude who’s clips you can rewatch over and over and still be genuinely laughing
I love this guy🎉❤
After becoming a LOS fan, it’s hilarious to here so many comedians stories about Louis that I didn’t realize he was the guy they were talking about.
Funny how that Cosby joke could have a different meaning now.
+Jason Long funny how it doesn't.
yeah because it would be a rape joke
Funny? No, not funny.
@@KM-ch2wc I don't think he means literally funny.
anybody telling Cosby "I'm out" these days is probably getting released from prison.
I thought clean comedians were gone. Glad to see we still have a few.
Him and Dusty slay are great clean comics!
And Jim Gaffigan!
I have to say, this guy might be my new favorite comedian. His material and delivery is just hilarious lol
This guys father came to our school and did magic and talk about bullying
I was dying laughing through this whole thing but the “FIST IN THE FRYER “ comment
Had me doubled over.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
the funniest comics are usually those with the funniest true stories lol
Nate new Netflix spec - the standups, brought me here.. glad to find him.
This guy is the personification of Rory Scovel's southern guy character. His style and voice are pretty much spot on!
This is funny. First time hearing his material!
THANK YOU JRE FOR THIS!!!!!
Dude is the best clean comic out, hands down. He kills.
That's Luis J Gomez

So funny to know he later augments the fighting McDonald's employees bit by saying his friend is an MMA fighter. Love Nate
Conan and Nate, two of the funniest people out there. Love them both!!
One of my favorite stories!
I'm seeing him today at Foxwoods in CT! Be Funny Tour 9/21/24
Soder reminded me
Listening to Nate on Bob Saget's podcast and had to see some early work. Awesome.
He's so low-key, and yet you hang on to every word he's saying.
'yelled at by a clown', what a laidback album, i like it
I like this guy 😂
All his sets are funny
