Been eating exclusively Bee Cheng Hiang for over 20 years. Reliable taste, reasonably priced. Waiting for the bak gwa snobs in the comments section who will say LCG is better, etc.
Did not know certain branches do onsite bbq. Explains the inconsistencies in taste if you buy at different branches. Some are just cloyingly sweet and oily, some have a delicious roasted fragrance.
K S Liang lol not even close to halal.I’m quite sure for the halal certificate you can’t even have an ounce of pork in anything even touching the untensils

I know right? What do they mean they refuse to sell it? -_-" ugh It really does taste better when it's kinda charred... I guess a workaround is to buy their loose bak kwa. It's not perfect squares but it's all the leftover little bits including the burned edges and it's delicious
Honestly I never buy bah kwa during cny, cos during cny most of the bahkwa doesn't taste like the goodness of normal. I personally don't think it taste as good. I wait for after they one by one pengkang nice nice for me.
BCH , your Bak Kwa is selling like gold, your year end sales ,enough to cover your one year rental fee. Touch your heart for your selling price. Don’t mislead people into thinking that CNY must eat Bak Kwa? Who said boss?..anytime also can eat. Don’t tell me salary increase , not enough manpower, overtime or the usual bullshit. One kilo selling at $90.00. Ask your Relatives to buy la. Hear what they said? All frozen pork, intend large amount store inside freezer, use apple woods why not use lobster wood can sell must more higher price. I never buy Bak Kwa during CNY. All I'm seeing is a company failing to adapt to changing customer tastes. When asked for more burnt bits (like those valued with roasted meat) they refuse to entertain the request and stick to their "standard". They need to self-assess if their vaunted "standard" is falling short of customer preferences. Absolutely no reason to be inflexible in this instance.
Dude. If it’s me I also won’t sell lah. Use brain leh. They have to protect the company image. Later W guy just take pic and upload online why so charred. Internet goes crazy over it. Reputation goes down the drain. Lol. Why even bother to give a chance to such scenario. Try going to a prata shop and tell them you want your prata black and charcoal burnt. You see will sell you anot. Standard and consistency.

This video came to me as an ad. I still buy this brand during food fair. I bought the loose cuts as it is cheaper.
Cynthia Koh used to be my idol and when I saw this brand in the past, I would think of her.
Awww my all-time favorite..

They have chicken jerky as well. And it's as good.
Excellent content👍 Loved it🤩
Local famous bak kwa chain besides Lim Chee Guan, years of history :)
