No mechanics because I can't think of anything.
Fun Fact I: I've never played VS Dave and Bambi, I made this song with the little I know about the mod. I hope I did well anyway.
Fun Fact II: I didn't use Bambi soundfont because it sounded so weird, so I used "Tuned Bandu" soundfont.

SPAMMING Mechanics:
poison notes: a bright green glitching note that makes you crash if you press too many. bambi does not have these on his side. recommended press limit: 10 glitch notes.
death notes: bright red notes that are shaped like rakes. they will also be on beat with another note to make it harder. avoid them, or you lose. these notes appear on bambi's side.
dodging: bambi will uncommonly have green rake notes on his side, causing him to throw a burning green rake at you. you would have to avoid them via pressing space bar. if you get hit, you lose.
attacking: bambi can throw corn at you rapidly, which will drain your health. attack him with the microphone to make him stop by pressing left/right shift. he commonly does it after 3 to 4 turns.
UPDATE:
bambi's leap: bambi can jump into the sky. an arrow will point where he will land. press the left or right arrow key to move before he lands. your arrow side will not be switched. his land will cause a ripple or green fire. during this, press the up button to jump over it. he can do this during your turn or during mid-song intermission.
You deserve more attention. These mechanics are hella cool

It turned out better than i expected, sounds good and DAMN those Nightmare Bambi poses are so expressive, perfectly show how angry and short tempered he is

As A Dave And Bambi fan, You did awesome! You might have used bandu a separate entity but this sounds sick! Bambi looks sick and awesome! You did a good song and this is a big banger! It might not focus on the D&B lore but not all things from D&B have to be perfect perfect!
EDIT:personally expungeds voice as bambi would sound good in my opinion bcz it’s basically a loud version of bambi honestly but I’m not trying to be rude or anything

Agree. I kinda had the same thing in mind as well. This is pretty good.
Some friendly criticism: I’m not sure if this was done intentionally in faith to Bambi songs in general, but the vocals appear to be either out of key or a different key than the instrumentals. This is especially noticeable with Bf. Everything else is really great, but I just can’t get past how out of key it sounds.

I think this is nightmare Bandu. Bandu turns 2d when he gets mad, and bambi's head turns invisible when he gets mad enough. So maybe this is just Bandu when he is really, REALLY mad. And also in nightmare form.

This. Is. Awesome!
So here is what I think is the meaning of the different colors of "nightmare mode"
Green is pure note spam, really hard even if there are not those damaging/deadly notes you can loose HPs easily if you are not careful.
Yellow has both of the dodging mechanic with the deadly and damaging notes, be extremely careful because yellow is also very very long.
Red is like yellow, with the dodging mechanics and the damaging notes, but no deadly notes and it is not that long.
Blue is the one where you should be the most cautious, one misclick and you're dead with the deadly notes, dodging mechanics and the note you have to press (Also for nm bf I didn't really understand why he doesn't have the mechanics, but I suppose it is because this is the WIP version of it).
And purple is...

the begging is offtune to the original devils gambit, but the speed and offtune really tells you that bambi is furious.

Maybe try find a custom bambi soundfont that works well with your song since this is clearly a song for bambi...I mean it's litterally called spamming!
Mechanic ideas:
*Vine Stun* - Either would come as a form of notes, or RNG-based, meaning you have to be kinda lucky to FC/PFC it.
Locks your grayscale, unable to press notes.
*ADVANCED DODGE MECHANIC* - If the projectiles aren't dodged at the right time, you are dealt partial of its damage.
*Corn Knife* - haha throw knife u ded
*Mania to Perfection* - Charting buffed, but you are only meant to take up to 5 misses during that time (no miss on the hardest difficulties, dealt 25% HP on easier difficulties and taking 7 misses.
