Kalle Specki tbf, lambos are meant to do these kinds of speeds. I’ve never had trouble with high speeds in mine, and I would assume the Huracan would be no different. But you have to realize a couple things: A) this isn’t the guy’s car, he’s renting Ferreti’s car, and as such, shouldn’t be pushing the car to almost 200 on public roads B) it’s on public roads, when you’re going that fast, any small bump or curve can turn into a nightmare if you aren’t properly prepared, especially for someone who has likely never driven a car like that before C) even though these cars are meant to push high speeds and go fast, high speeds and going fast does a lot wear on the car and it’s components There’s a level of trust between a rentor and a rentee(?), and this guy went above and beyond to break that

I have done 140 and 150 a number of times and it does always cross my mind. I have done it with no other cars around but my thoughts are on if a deer or a pothole pop up in front of me at that speed than im dead. My car is made to top out at 185 so anything around 120 feels like only doing 90 so its very easy to do
I remember doing 150mph and everything being fine up until I passed a car in the right lane. Even though that car in the right lane didn’t move from the lane, just passing it at that speed was enough to freak me out.

I’ve seen that lambo cruising through Washington heights running red lights and swerving through traffic together with a black Mercedes and a white Range Rover. Its a nice car 👍🏼
That's pretty impressive. I've got my C7 up to 140 and I was just gaining on the traffic way ahead to fast to "safely" go any faster. That was after leaving a huge gap ahead of me just to do a good speed run. It was a little after midnight so not many people on the road. I go up to 100 or a little more all the time but once you hit around 150 things start getting kind of sketchy on a public road. Can't blame the guy too much though, if you are renting a Lambo you want to get your money's worth plus the road conditions are perfect with most people staying at home now. What a way to spend your stimulus check haha.
I enjoyed that video. I rented a C7 convertible last year out of Las Vegas. On highway 15 south about 11 PM I had the perfect opportunity to open it up. I had the top down because something evenings in Nevada are pretty nice. I didn't max it, but did get into the same neighborhood as your customer. The car was incredibly easy to control. The only really tell odd the speed was the wind noise. Those highways were built when Nevada had no speed limits so they were intended for going fast. I can only hope your customer had the experience I've had in fast cars. This was hardly my first time opening up a fast car, rather just the last time I went fast in a rental car. The car didn't miss a beat and was a hoot to drive. My favorite part wasn't even that though rather it was driving through the tunnel approaching the airport. The noise was awesome. Good times!
I rented a McLaren 570s for my 30th birthday with the sole intention of joining the 200+ plus club. A group of us went out to the same stretch of highway where Koenigsegg set their world record. We went out at 2am with multiple people and vehicles to block off the section of highway, drove the road to check for debris then did two speed runs. Let’s just say I got my birthday wish. I put 450 miles on the car and went through 4 tanks of gas. I definitely turned the traction control off, definitely stepped the back end out at 100+ and returned the car totally unharmed. As a lifelong auto enthusiast it hurts my heart to think of all the beautiful performance cars being driven by boring old man without the skill or desire to really push these masterpieces of engineering.
To be fair, anyone that rents a Lambo wants to FULLY experience every possible thrill of a Lambo, including the exhilaration of top speeds and quick accelerations... its just par for the course.
I'm really happy that you're not annoyed about him going fast. Obviously that's a big part of some peoples' decisions to rent and I think it's really bullshit when a rental company would get pissed about that sort of thing, try to tack on extra fees, etc. I realize most people rent to pick up chicks, but that's obviously not why this guy did. I put 450 miles on the car and went through 4 tanks of gas. I definitely turned the traction control off, definitely stepped the back end out at 100+ and returned the car totally unharmed. As a lifelong auto enthusiast it hurts my heart to think of all the beautiful performance cars being driven by boring old man without the skill or desire to really push these masterpieces of engineering.
To be fair, anyone that rents a Lambo wants to FULLY experience every possible thrill of a Lambo, including the exhilaration of top speeds and quick accelerations... its just par for the course.

If I rent a Lamborghini, I think the $1950/day rental fee allows me to drive it as fast as I want. Glad to hear that’s not an issue at Gotham.
To be honest we all never get the chance to drive something like that , that 115 mph day was probably something he’s going to remember forever .
I think people that rent exotics and super cars being surprised by people wanting to drive it crazily probably shouldn't be surprised.

I'm really happy that you're not annoyed about him going fast. Obviously that's a big part of some peoples' decisions to rent and I think it's really bullshit when a rental company would get pissed about that sort of thing, try to tack on extra fees, etc. I realize most people rent to pick up chicks, but that's obviously not why this guy did. You're a stand-up guy for seeing it and not caring.
