I believe it's perfect for any genre if you know what you're doing with it. I might follow this tutorial (as best as I can) with one of my hardware synths. It doesn't have the fastest envelopes, but what stood out to me the most is that you didn't set the envelopes to be crazy fast in Vital, so it gives me hope that I could use my SD-80 to make similar sounds aha. It might not be anywhere near as good because it is sample based, but it still has stuff that makes decent enough superstars despite that aha
I just love these videos a lot! They are so relaxing to watch, easily "digestible", and the way how you guide us through with examples and explanations is just perfect! Buying your trance presets saved me so much time and energy and I am really looking forward to these uplifting presets! Thank You!
Worth having it your collection. Never turn down a free tool even if you just use it for sub basses as an example. 😎 I fable with wood work here and there and I always have a variety of tool from modern through to free vintage chisels.
@@demishellen You have a point, however having another synth to learn takes away from learning or improving on something else When I'm ready I will consider it. I'd rather learn and improve weekly than get another synth or plugin. I've had Omnisphere for a year. It's put me off any new synths forever I think
I’m on iPad using mainly Gadget. Can u do some videos on it eg sound design & synth walkthroughs. There’s loads of content there for ya to make & a large community who’ll watch. There’s loads of other good synths & stuff on iPad to look at too. AUM hosts everything & u can run loads of stuff in parallel.
Vital is a nice and clean WT synth, so no issues doing uplifting trance with it - similar to Serum. It is nice to add some things that are more analog(ish) sounding, like Diva, Zebra, GForce vsts, Viper, Avenger, etc. for some different types of additive synthesis, if WT isn't cutting it. GForce just rolled out an Oscar like vst, ImpOscar 3, with some pretty interesting sounds, but they also have OBX, which is pretty nice. It really comes down to the filters, right? (lol) Are you going to be doing a sale on your site, anytime soon? Great bonus info @ the end!
Agreed on the WT side of things but what Matt Tytel has given free of charge is really great. Imagine the updates that will be coming. With my site I tend not to have too many sales, but a little hint for you and anyone reading. Each month I roll out an exclusive discount code for Patrons on my Oscillator Tier. Another way is to sign up to my mailer on my site (free) and this will get you exclusive discounts on selected products periodically. 😎
@@demishellen Thanks Demis. Yes, I used to follow your Patreon, but just not enough there as of late. I believe I am also on your site's mailing list. I love Vital... probably the main software synth, that I go to, as its just so easy to use. Appreciate what you do!
New preset bank Coming soon next week. My website is in the description of each video www.demishellen.com. You can sign up for the mailer on my site to get first access to the pack. 😎
Oooo, that last point about the stereo unison is a gem!!
I know right 😎 some synths don’t have this feature but, where you can you may as well tweak 👍🏻
Do you think Vital is good enough for uplifting trance production? Let everyone know your thoughts below 😎
hell yeah it's very versatile :)
Versatile enough to be the synth to start learning sound design with 😎

Thank you, I appreciate the kind words. Launch day is happening Friday 😎
I dont even produce trance but always learn something from your videos!
That's really interesting, glad to see you can learn from a different perspective 😎
What a build up mate! Vital is an awesome free synth too, highly recommend for uplifting trance!
Thanks JonMurray 😎 Appreciate it
I like the melody 😍
I do too, this is taken from the uplifting collection I am hoping to release very very soon. 😎
Amazing, many thanks.
No problem 😎
Thank you for this video. Learned a lot

The new packs are coming next week + a cubase, logic and Ableton template. 😎
@@demishellen Ableton all the way for me 👍
It's a shame I wont get Vital. I have to many paid synths. Great info especially on the multiband comp and eq balance.

Demis, yeahhhh... you have push the "Mute The Silence Button" on this channel.
New stuff to come. Cannot wait to release the new tutorials using my new packs.
As always, thank you for sharing your knowledge! Btw what's the track in the outro?
Something to come, currently it is just an intro track but I am working on this as I type.
@@demishellen I can't wait!

Patreon is back up and running but, I have posted some new stuff there. The silence has been due to personal reasons but...I am back on it.
Is Cubase a good daw for trance and melodic techno ? Thank you .
Yes Cubase is great for an producer of music
You talked about a technique you learned from Maya 19:55 into the video. But you never added a link to Maya. Or am I missing something?
Hi Link is now in the description. Somehow the whole description was deleted 😂 Video is now linked to the specific video I mentioned.
