that counselor is literally the best guy ever. the way he immediately said "you were wrong to do that" when her dad started making excuses about his lack of control over his adult self. dude was extremely professional and well spoken. loved how he handled him.

I relate to her soo much. Education system in my country is also the same, I also used to study all night then sleep for 3-4 hrs in the day when I was in high school. It is super tough and stressful for no reason at all, everyone around me was depressed or lifeless

I think Hwari you should not be worried about the college rather try to develop good qualities like you always work hard that would be really beneficial in your life and you will get things you didn't even dared to imagine

Don't be stressed about studying, just enjoy it. having high grades does not mean everything is based on that after you graduate from college. that's still in people's strategy and hard work.

My situation is very similar to hwari. It's really hard to focus on your study when your parents to pressuring you and told you mean or hurtful words. My parents always pressure me about study. And every time compar me with my friends Specially with my younger sister. who is much batter in study then me . Specially my mom. This year I take my college admission test. I get chance in a good college but not in the top 5. So me and mom having fight with each other almost everyday. Now it's feel like I'm giving up myself and in study. So I wish that hwari will not face the same situation like me. Best of luck for your future hwari.

@@sirdope2575 not being better than them does not mean street. You can do a lot of things even if you don't get the top college, the success path is just hidden. ANd most ppl don't want you to do "better than them" they want you to become the "best" which is super stressful

from someone who sucked at school, as long as you study the subject you like, you will be good at studying. all you genuinely need is motivation which comes from wanting to study. talk to your mom and tell her that if she continues to pressure you, ur grades will continue to drop. Like the counselor said, they should genuinely only encourage you to do your best. no matter the result. also an advice- dont hold past failures over your head. they are in the past you are in the now. u can move past them and get better. learn from the past and move forward, Good luck!

I thought so too in the beginning. But watch all the episodes and you'll understand where the kids are coming from. This family is actually very real- they show the bad sides even without filter so it's nice to see the progress they make in the family. I think the dad is changing too. His efforts were obvious in the past episodes.

i feel like it really has something to do with the fact that he was really away from them for a very long time and she and her brother are with their mother, and she is really so perplexed (i think) about thee fact that her father was suddenly there with them and still wasn't able to process the changes (due to her father coming back in their life) ever since, this is really hard to overcome
