The song “The Wind Rises” was based on “Yakimochi”, the theme song of the Japanese series “Shinya Shokudo 3”. It was composed, written and sung by the Japanese singer Takahashi Yu.
Takahashi was impressed by and really liked the rearrangement of “The Wind Rises”, giving high appraisals to La Jian (買辣椒也用券), who travelled to Japan and recorded the song under guidance from Takahashi’s team. Eventually the song was released again on 3 December 2018.
