I would love to see what I'm calling "random roulette" where you would have to get a randomized encounter from 6 different sources. 1 tree shake, 1 fishing encounter, 1 surprise trade, random grass encounter, 1 egg hatch, and 1 overworld encounter. I think it would be fun to see.
It will never not surprise me how little they know about pokemon giving they make a living out of it.

With not knowing what Chilln's last Pokémon was, he was doing everything he could to deal damage...with Gorilla Tactics locking him into one move, a possible Ghost type makes Flying Press a hard sell (better to do some damage to everything in that case...and, with Golem resisting both moves anyway (despite Quick not knowing), it was a play for the double crit (150 BP resisted Flying Press vs. two 60 BP Dual Wingbeat attacks)).
@@Alsebra While your brig bain logic seems pretty sound, I can't give it to you when we're talking about two people who don't know what half of their moves do, or what type their own pokemon is, what pokemon their own pokemon is. All of which were on full display this episode.
@@darkwingduck1376, I get what you're saying, but GG has mentioned in several videos that he's got a special place for Hawlucha (in fact, in some vids, he mentions actively searching for one), so I could see him knowing and understanding the nuances of Flying Press at the very least (maybe not its full weakness/resistance chart (hell, I had to verify its efficacy against A-Golem), but definitely enough to know that being locked into a Fighting move is a huge risk).
@@Alsebra You can hear GG say after killing the Groudon that he forgot he couldn't do Flying Press after Dual Wingbeat. What I don't entirely understand is why he wouldn't switch the Glimmora in on Charizard, to reset Hawlucha to get the Flying Press after.

No, they both felt like they never played it before xD both didn't even realize that they had crit captures with their pokeballs 🤣 but that's okay, I prefer older gens anyway.
@@thephalange8630they both beat the games when they came out, and after a few S/V videos, they went back to Sw/Sh for their vs challenges. I'm assuming they basically haven't really played violet since beating it as they've been playing other pokemon games instead.
Frankly they feel like they played Gen 1 and 2 twenty+ years ago and haven't touched the franchise since 😂😂😂

Not using population bomb at all is so stupid to me. It's one of the strongest moves in the entire game and on a pokemon with way higher attack than moushold.
The breakpoint for Population Bomb vs. Fire Punch is at 7 hits, so it'd have to hit 7 times each attack for it to outdamage Fire Punch (without figuring burn into the calculation)...and it has ~47% chance to hit 7 or more times (since the accuracy check rolls for each attack, it's not a set chance like the "2-5 attack" moves).
And since it was against empoleon, it wouldn't have been very effective.
@@bml37733, even though it's NVE, it's still somewhat effective...as long as it hits at least 5 times (which is approximately where Population Bomb is a 6HKO and Fire Punch is a 5HKO...6 hits closes the gap to miniscule differences in damage, while 7+ hits start outpacing Fire Punch). This is also ignoring either move critting (which Population Bomb has a better chance) or Fire Punch burning Empoleon, of course...

Wow, half HP Groudon taking full HP Kyurem's psychic..holding on with 3hp and retaliating with a super effective scale shot, increasing it's own speed and allowing it to end it using glaive rush was very anime like! To destroy full hp kyurem with only half to 3hp?? Groudon's a beast!! Always been one of my favorites.
It's so good seeing new Pokemon. S/V deserves so much more love. The variety is unmatched.

Sword and Shield also had a great range of Pokémon and Moves. If you really want variety, play randomized Ultra Sun/Moon as it’s got the largest international dex.
Scyther isn’t “fully evolved” but it has the same BST as Scizor and Kleavor so I feel it should be treated differently
Honestly, i rarely evolve scyther. Has same attack as scizor but way way faster.

How do you not know about Kyurem White and Kyurem Black? Kyurem did the fusion thing before Necrozma(Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings) and Calyrex(Ice Rider and Shadow Rider)
They know the forms. But in the older games, white Kyurem didn't have the red coloring. It was all white. I'd never seen the red myself until this video. It's just something they added to the 3D sprite.
Challenge idea: You catch 1 pokemon out of these: 1 legend, 1 fully evolved, 1 ultra beast, 1 starter, 1 random encounter, 1 mid stage. 3 skips
Chilln: "whoa, is that shiny?"

Here’s a challenge idea…
Randomly generate 10 different types of poke balls, then go around and catch Pokémon that best matches the look of each ball. It can be babies too but make sure to fully evolve for the fight! Pick the best 6 Pokémon then have your battle!
You can just press right on the Pokemon selection screen during the battle to get to the moves. They didn't go back in the battle system quality-wise, they made inspecting the moves even easier by removing the need to enter the summary screen
Probability of flipping a coin is always 50%, no matter how many you get in a row.
It’s not the same as having 50 red apples and 50 green apples, then randomly taking one out, and leaving it out. Say you had 5 grabs, you got 4 red, 1 green. Now you have 46 red, 49 green. Your chance of green is higher cause there’s more. Flipping a coin, is ALWAYS 50/50 each time you flip. No matter how many you get in a row.

Have you guys done a speed tie fight? Randomize the pokemon with the lowest and highest speed to catch for your team. Set all speed stats to 0. Getting slow mons will be better because they sacrifice far less BST. Random 1st moves could make for a funny fight too.
Also did they seriously ask if Cyclizar evolves into Miraidon. Come on man.
A fun twist instead of skips would be to allow a full evolution? Like if you get a baby you have the option to fully evolve it

Challenge idea - randomized Pokémon encounters, then you play heads or tails. You first choose if you want to keep the Pokémon, or give it to the other. Then the coin toss.
Call it right, and you win. If you call it wrong, the other person then chooses to either steal or skip that Pokémon.

If you hold the L button on your remote you can focus in on Pokémon so you can pick it out of a crowded area and it also tells you their name so you can know if it’s an imposter.

Chilln said near the start that paradoxes were counted as legendaries for the purposes of this challenge.
I generally think s/s are better for this format because of the wild area. But with all the new Pokemon I'd love to see more s/v videos

Cool video. I think next time it would be better to put a bunch of pokeballs (maybe all of them?) on a wheel and spin the wheel to decide which pokeball to use. Also incorporating a timer would make it more interesting too, cos you may have to catch mid or possibly weak mons to make sure you fill up the team.

20 minutes to catch whatever 8 pokemon you want and 1 legend. At the end of the time you put them into a box. Then you each alternate going down the list flipping a coin, the coin will decide if you trade the pokemon or keep them. After all nine coin flips are completed you make a team of 6 anf battle it out.

Spin a wheel to decide a ball, you have 5 overworld encounters (your choice) to catch a Pokémon using that ball (one ball per encounter). If you don't catch anything then you've lost that chance. Do this for 10 spins and make a team out of however many you catch

Flip coin idea: Capture 9 MID stage mons randomly. If heads you'll get Fully evolved mon if tails you'll get a baby
You should try a 30 second challenge, where you get to choose any mon you want, BUT if you catch a hidden encounter you HAVE to take it, and get an extra 10 seconds on the clock to keep searching!
