Someday I saw a post on Instagram that assured that Ron was a son of a b****, a disgusting character, a bad friend, selfish and unworthy of Hermione and I literally burst out crying of how unfair it was that someone could have the guts to say that about him. Who was the one who stood by Harry since the very beginning? Who was the one who wrote his mother asking her to send some Christmas' presents for Harry, because otherwise he would have none? Who was the one who (at age 12) sacrificed himself in an enormous chess game so his friends could move forward? Who was the one who flew to Privet Drive in the middle of the night because he was worried that Harry wasn't answering his letters? Who was the one who fiercely defended Hermione when Draco called her a mudblood? Who was the one who, at age 12, went into a forest which was full of dangerous creatures and faced giant spiders, despite suffering of arachnophobia? Who was the one who ended up punished because he defended Hermione when Snape said she was an "insufferable know-it-all"? Who was the one who stood on a broken leg to protect his friend from a "massive murderer"? Who was the one that Harry would have missed the most in the second trial of the Triwizard Tournament? Who stood by Harry's side, when everyone thought he was a liar, knowing that he would have been accused of lying as well? Who was the one who saved Harry's life? Who was the one who begged Bellatrix to torture him instead of Hermione? Who was the one who thought about the house elves in the battle? Who was the one who defied Voldemort when he announced that Harry was "dead"? Exactly; Ron. He's not perfect at all. He's flawed and he makes mistakes just like every single human being in the world and that's actually what makes him such a great character. Even though, not everyone is brave enough to, having done something badly, admit they were wrong and apologise without pretending nothing happened, but assuming the weight of their actions. He's just a little kid silently fighting against his own insecurities. The Ron's character misjudgement is all set off by the movies in which they show that Harry and Hermione are some kind of gods and Ron is just the stupid boy who's only useful if you want to laugh at someone. But there's nothing further from reality, he's such a good friend; someone humble, brave, loyal, generous, funny, kind and warm-hearted. And most importantly, he's and forever will be my favourite ever character. Thank you for doing him justice and bringing the REAL Ron back to life with this amazing video; you're so talented! Ron's own author betrayed him and I can never forgive her for that. It was one thing that she happy her movies' director's favorite was Hermione, but to let him, the producers, the screenwriters take full reign to make an utter and complete fool out of one of the sweetest, bravest, best characters of her book is unbelievable. And it's heartbreaking that she didn't even defend Romione, saying she regretted making them end up with each other. Where is your support, woman? Where is your love for one of your sons, Ronald Weasley? Why have you forsaken him? It's alright if many Harry Potter fans disagree with my bitterness towards JK Rowling and the movie producers & director. Sorry to say mean things about the author you look up to. I just see her lack of defense and love for Ron as an act of betrayal and it's thoroughly disappointing.

Ron Weasley is one of my favourite character ever. Although I adore Rupert Grint as Ron, I'll always resent the screenwriters a bit for not understanding the true depth of his character. Everything about this video is amazing: from the song to the editing. Great job! It warms my heart that others love Ron Weasley as much as I do.

While the movies do paint him in a bad light compared to the books, i dont think even that is enough of a warrant for people to hate him so much. He’s still a good, brave friend even in the movies. I think some just want to hate ron no matter what
They did Ginny so bad, also Ron, makes me mad everytime i remember all the cool features in the book and then my family wants to see the movies and complain about characthers without having read anything
True but Hermione was a lot more bossy and annoying in the books. But they made Hermione way better than she was supposed to be and made Ron way worse than he should have been
He was always one of my favorites and I'm forever bitter about how the movies did him dirty. This tribute certainly helped take away some of that sting because it showcased my favorite aspects of Ron and his true value to the franchise. Btw, you're so right about this song being perfect for him!

Thank you SO MUCH for this edit. I am so, so glad I found it, and you just did amazingly with the audiobook inserts to add more depth to all of his actions. There are far too few on UA-cam. Ron deserves frankly a lot more attention and credit as a character. Rupert did an incredible job but I will just never forgive the screenwriters (cough cough Steve Kloves) for robbing Ron of his best lines and true character depth when they had so much to work with.
Everything you just said is 100% what I feel about Ron and the movies. I'm so happy there are people out there who want more book!canon content. I made a similar tribute to Ron/Hermione a couple months back, and if it all goes well, I'll probably make more using audiobooks, in other fandoms as well. It's a bit of a challenge. Haha. I have always known that Ron's character in the movies was flattened compared to the books, but never could put my finger on specific ways it was done in until recently. "If you're going to kill Harry, you have to kill us too". He's a true Gryffindor. I love his interactions with Harry in the books, they truly are the best of friends, brothers really. I think it's great that you've used one of Ron's best lines, " If you want to kill Harry, you,ll have to kill us, too" I hate that the films turn him into Harry's stupid friend although in the books Ron's Harry's best friend, who might be a little bit lazy, but isn't stupid at all because he's a brilliant chess player. I'd like to point out that I love Harry, Ron and Hermione as they're all great characters who are mentally strong. I have to admit Hermione is my favourite character in HP since she's so clever, the best friend to Harry in the whole world, mentally really strong, loyal, hard-working, confident. Love this, unlike others comparing him with the books, I think Ron in movie performs consistency and slow growth. He represents most of us. That's what makes him special. We can relate to him. Let Hermeoine be the smart ass. She does well there as well.

I just saw this, and may I just say, amazing job. Ron is truly an inspiring character, and is a great role model. Sure, he and Harry fought at times, but that’s what best friends do. He is a loyal and trusting friend, and is a brave person altogether. I don’t know why so many people hate on him, there is absolutely no reason to. Rupert did a wonderful job at portraying the character we know and love as Ron Weasley. He’s not my favorite (Luna is), but he is second. I love what he does for Harry and Hermione, even if it does not work out. Thank you for making this, and once again, amazing job.

I rewatch this when the fandom makes me a little mad so I remember why I love Ron so much. He was always SO ready to fight whomever. I remember him and neville fighting malfoy in the stands of a Harry’s quidditch game, early on in the books, it’s one of the funniest scenes. Also the whole Harry-Ron friendship was so powerful!! Harry missed Ron so so much in Goblet of Fire.. I am beyond sad how they treated him in the movies. I’m gonna go and look into your links now 🥰🥰❤️

I’m so sorry my comments are probably annoying the heck out of you but I needed to talk about this. Ron is actually a lot smarter than people think. Like in the Chamber Of Secrets Harry mentioned something about Lockhart having no idea what he was doing but Hermione shot back mentioning the stuff he “supposedly” did saying “You’ve read his books! Look at all the amazing things he’s done!” then Ron says “He SAYS he’s done” That right there is the difference between Ron and Hermione’s intelligence, Hermione believes everything she reads in books that’s academic smartness however Ron uses his instincts on what he believes that’s street smartness. Same thing in Prisoner Of Azkaban when he warned Hermione that seeing a Grim was bad as his Uncle Billius saw one and died 24 hours later but Hermione said wizards who saw them die of fright and was not an omen but rather the cause of death.
Firstly, what an amazing execution. Secondly, using the dialogues from the audiobooks. Thank you, thank you, for giving Ron his lines back! Amazing song choice, syncing dialogues (where they should have been) with the scenes. Everyone who hasn't seen the movies should watch this vm, to know who Ron Weasley really is, and why he is the best character in the series.

On the Channel TheBinger, Ron was voted as one of the most hated Harry Potter characters. This is unfair, i think. He doesn't deserve all the big hate. This Video proves that he is a great character and so important in the Harry Potter universe, and not useless, dumb, an a** or whatever people call him. Many people tend to focuse only on his flaws, and while he indeed made mistakes and isn't perfect, people forget his good side, which is so much bigger than his faults.

I really like this kind of Videos. Can you Imagine do this one about underrated relationships? Like Harry & Luna, Harry & Hagrid, Harry & Sirius or Lupin, or Harry & Dumbledore for example? Maybe even about Neville, about the fact that Neville was close to be the chosen one?
Yes. A 1000%. It will take time to get to each relationship though, and I can't promise to succeed (sometimes, I just lose inspiration/motivation) but I'd love to do that. In any case, a Harry/Ron video is coming out very soon !! 😉

Even though I don’t hate the movies, I actually love them. I’ll never forgive them for taking away all of Ron’s amazing moments and made Hermione have them instead. Especially the scene in The Shrieking Shack when his leg was completely destroyed but was still ready to stay strong for his best friend. In the book he was like “Take my heart I don’t need it anyway”
My above all favourite Ron scene in the books was the scene at Malfoy Manor and I just noticed something. In the films they nailed Hermione’s reaction to Ron getting splinched, maybe even better but completely ruined Ron in the Malfoy Manor scene.

It's really good but it's also highly expensive. I was lucky enough to get it at a good price, by miracle, but if you can't do that, then ... I mean... there are tutorials out there on how to crack the software. But that's up to you, you know !

He was always one of my favorites and I'm forever bitter about how the movies did him dirty. This tribute certainly helped take away some of that sting because it showcased my favorite aspects of Ron and his true value to the franchise. Btw, you're so right about this song being perfect for him!

Thank you SO MUCH for this edit. I am so, so glad I found it, and you just did amazingly with the audiobook inserts to add more depth to all of his actions. There are far too few on UA-cam. Ron deserves frankly a lot more attention and credit as a character. Rupert did an incredible job but I will just never forgive the screenwriters (cough cough Steve Kloves) for robbing Ron of his best lines and true character depth when they had so much to work with.
Everything you just said is 100% what I feel about Ron and the movies. I'm so happy there are people out there who want more book!canon content. I made a similar tribute to Ron/Hermione a couple months back, and if it all goes well, I'll probably make more using audiobooks, in other fandoms as well. It's a bit of a challenge. Haha.

I have always known that Ron's character in the movies was flattened compared to the books, but never could put my finger on specific ways it was done in until recently. I hate that the films turn him into Harry's stupid friend although in the books Ron's Harry's best friend, who might be a little bit lazy, but isn't stupid at all because he's a brilliant chess player.
I'd like to point out that I love Harry, Ron and Hermione as they're all great characters who are mentally strong.
I have to admit Hermione is my favourite character in HP since she's so clever, the best friend to Harry in the whole world, mentally really strong, loyal, hard-working, confident.
Furthermore I like that she's quite fit in deathly hallows, perhaps because she prepared in secret, doing sports to get physically fitter

Love this, unlike others comparing him with the books, I think Ron in movie performs consistency and slow growth. He represents most of us. That's what makes him special. We can relate to him. Let Hermeoine be the smart ass. She does well there as well.

I just saw this, and may I just say, amazing job. Ron is truly an inspiring character, and is a great role model. Sure, he and Harry fought at times, but that’s what best friends do. He is a loyal and trusting friend, and is a brave person altogether. I don’t know why so many people hate on him, there is absolutely no reason to. Rupert did a wonderful job at portraying the character we know and love as Ron Weasley. He’s not my favorite (Luna is), but he is second. I love what he does for Harry and Hermione, even if it does not work out. Thank you for making this, and once again, amazing job.

I rewatch this when the fandom makes me a little mad so I remember why I love Ron so much. He was always SO ready to fight whomever. I remember him and neville fighting malfoy in the stands of a Harry’s quidditch game, early on in the books, it’s one of the funniest scenes. Also the whole Harry-Ron friendship was so powerful!! Harry missed Ron so so much in Goblet of Fire.. I am beyond sad how they treated him in the movies. I’m gonna go and look into your links now 🥰🥰❤️

I’m so sorry my comments are probably annoying the heck out of you but I needed to talk about this.
Ron is actually a lot smarter than people think. Like in the Chamber Of Secrets Harry mentioned something about Lockhart having no idea what he was doing but Hermione shot back mentioning the stuff he “supposedly” did saying “You’ve read his books! Look at all the amazing things he’s done!” then Ron says “He SAYS he’s done” That right there is the difference between Ron and Hermione’s intelligence, Hermione believes everything she reads in books that’s academic smartness however Ron uses his instincts on what he believes that’s street smartness. Same thing in Prisoner Of Azkaban when he warned Hermione that seeing a Grim was bad as his Uncle Billius saw one and died 24 hours later but Hermione said wizards who saw them die of fright and was not an omen but rather the cause of death.

On the Channel TheBinger, Ron was voted as one of the most hated Harry Potter characters. This is unfair, i think. He doesn't deserve all the big hate.
This Video proves that he is a great character and so important in the Harry Potter universe, and not useless, dumb, an a** or whatever people call him.
Many people tend to focuse only on his flaws, and while he indeed made mistakes and isn't perfect, people forget his good side, which is so much bigger than his faults.

I really like this kind of Videos. Can you Imagine do this one about underrated relationships? Like Harry & Luna, Harry & Hagrid, Harry & Sirius or Lupin, or Harry & Dumbledore for example? Maybe even about Neville, about the fact that Neville was close to be the chosen one?
Yes. A 1000%. It will take time to get to each relationship though, and I can't promise to succeed (sometimes, I just lose inspiration/motivation) but I'd love to do that.

Even though I don’t hate the movies, I actually love them. I’ll never forgive them for taking away all of Ron’s amazing moments and made Hermione have them instead. Especially the scene in The Shrieking Shack when his leg was completely destroyed but was still ready to stay strong for his best friend. In the book he was like “Take my heart I don’t need it anyway”

My above all favourite Ron scene in the books was the scene at Malfoy Manor and I just noticed something. In the films they nailed Hermione’s reaction to Ron getting splinched, maybe even better but completely ruined Ron in the Malfoy Manor scene.
