I was recently honoured to be involved in the creation of Robert ‘Sput’ Searight’s amazing new online course for YousicPlay, which features my transcriptions. Check it out! 😊catalogue.yousicplay.com/products/1926713
Wow! Incredible chops and taste! Sput is one of the most talented dudes around, and not just on the drums! ...and you transcribed that? Holy crap! :) Well done
You do understand this can be done via midi and software. Right? Anyway, not taking away from the work to actually DO this. It's awesome. Very much appreciated.
@@codersexpo1580 I wish that were possible! Yes, you could in theory convert the transients from each mic to midi data (or use triggers on each drum), but converting that into readable sheet music is an entirely different thing. The amount of work you need to do to clean up and check the data is essentially the same work as transcribing it by hand in the first place (though it can help as a guide, I suppose). In my experience, the technique is only practical/useful for simple transcriptions where the source midi data can be easily quantized.
@@DailyChops My hats off to you because you're an amazing musician and technician who puts out incredible work constantly. Transcribing this note for note is a major feat and no simple task. I support this channel every chance I get and wish you continued success.
Amazing work!!! Thank you sharing I downloaded the pdf will take me years if and ever I will get through it now I have something to work on in this lock down period. Ciao from Roma
Can you please transcribe the Vinnie Colaiuta's solo section in Humpty Dumpty from the Chick Corea Blue note Tokyo album? There we have such a sanctuary of rhytmics and stickings!! Thanks for your incredible work in all your videos.

Deep Pocket! Not sure what was more talent... Playing this or, transcribing it! Thanks for all you do DailyChops!
My friends Lamont Taylor, Frank Locrasto, and Omar Alvarado from Dallas used to tell me about Sput back in 01’. A true legend!
I can’t imagine the amount of time this took! And it’s perfect! Even down to the note to turn the side snare on! Amazing work!

I'm trippin' off Sput's hand evenness and dexterity. Awesome!
Both on drums and keyboards!
What a great drummer! Great transcription, too - the sticking alone must have taken an age!
Sput R and Carter B are my inspirations for playing open hand! Down right spectacular performance.

Let's rewind the Mike Clark original version, and Vinnies...
First I found Larnell then I found him and I’m so happy I did both of them are straight 🔥🔥🔥🤢🤢🤢
Amazing! From Brasil #drummylife
Wicked!

Quebra um galhinho...néh!!!
This must take _forever_
Don't even reckon Sput could transcribe it himself. Looks like he just lives the groove from within.
Good but no where close to mike Clark’s original
Why does an idiot always have to appear with the useless need to compare.
Shut up and enjoy man
Its not meant to be like the original dumbass its his version it would be boring if he copied mike clark
not of a fan of the swing
🔥🔥🔥
