    Hi Soren, please check out the Passacaglia HWV 432 by Handel. It´s incredible how this short piece has almost everything we need as jazz players. Arpeggio up+scale down, chord tones with embellishing tones, pedal point, scale down with voice leading, arpeggios up with voice leading, etc. Very clear harmony!

      Yeah, I know. Some classical pieces are close to jazz. I love the comparison. Know Coltrane did a lot of classical studies too.

      Hi Gregoire,
      Yes of course. If I may then you can go to Patreon and get all lesson manuals for €6,5 a month. You will have access to all the lessons I have ever released in the past and all new releases in the future as long as you do the subscription.
      So I will both send you the link to Patreon and the shop

    Never thought about scales in thirds as training for enclosures.

    • @sorenballegaardmusic
      @sorenballegaardmusic  9 місяців тому +1

      Every time you make a turn in the scale, every time you play a chord, enclosures - the third interval is just the most important interval in jazz music, probably in all music. Thanks for commenting:)

    Love your channel. I'm a guitarist, if I join patreon will xml files be available? It's easy to have my software transpose if it's xml or similar.

      Hi Jon, thank you so much. Great a guitarist, one of my best friends is Jens Larsen. So welcome. All the examples in the Patreon files are in all 12 keys and the lesson examples are written out for concert instrument - guitar and piano too. So there should be no problems for you to read and follow it.

      @@sorenballegaardmusic I never learned to sight read standard notation, I import xml into Guitar Pro and fingerings are there.
