Yeah Zebra 3 sound engine seems to be super sweet. Did you try fiddle with the "hidden feature" (Guide Curves 1,2,3)? In comb with the Curve filter you can do totally wicked sounds!
Same, Zebra 2 is still my all time fav synth. Such a beast! And Zebralette 3 give us a glimse of what’s to come. This one just have one Zebra 3 osc but can do sooo many deep sounds. Mindblowing!
@@apatsa_basiteniyeah it does eat some cpu, but we all know with hi-fi sound algos and oversampling comes cpu consumption. It also crashed on me a few times, but it's beta so that's nothing special. It'll be fine on release! U-he always go for quality with their releases.

Great synth, Took a while to figure out what the white dot was on top of the knobs. Its a tiny little knob that controls 'local modulation' and polarity, its very useful I am new to U-He software but the pdf manual is coming in handy
This and Full Bucket whispAir wavetable synth both sound amazing, but this one is far easier to comprehend in terms of controls. Cant wait for this one to come out of beta!
I’m excited. Do you think Zebra will target more the sound designer types, or musicians like men that love the presets? I bought Zebra Legacy a while ago because it had 3,000+ presets including dark zebra and the HZ presets.

Yeah, it's pretty awesome! I'm a long time Zebra 2 user and talked briefly in this video about this little u-he history and how Zebra 2 was used extensively in the Dark Knight score.... they even made a specific "Zebra HZ The Dark Zebra" edition. I'm happy they decided to make the Legacy Zebra include that so everybody can enjoy those sounds and the extra filters and resonators you get in that version. Superb! Love the sound engines in the u-he plugins. Quality!
A wavetable engine that does not require gigabytes of wave files. This is really hard work and I don't think any other company can do this in next 5 or 10 years.
And it's thick with features. ;) The wavetable editor in Vital is pretty hard to work with in comparison to Zebralette 3...which is easy to grasp and get around!
Thanks for this. Have just downloaded. It's nice that it comes separate from the Zebra installation. So basically everything is going to vst3 format now. Think that there will be some kind of bridge for use in non vst3 compliant DAWs?
@@MattiasHolmgren hi Matthias, I clicked the cog and was looking for SKINS but it's APPEARANCE but i can't get it to change, I can be a bit of a divvy at times and it's midnight but the Ui is strange and it went Stark yellow borderlines with dark UI and very difficult for me to see so I've abandoned it. I want to buy Legacy Zebra 2 but am wondering if there are anymore soundsets than are in the triple zipped download but it does have some nice ambient sounds but at 90USD or Euro I'm not sure. I bought Spitfire Cinematic originals at 29 USD and it's nice but I'm not fluent enough on the keyboard to do it justice so I'll download Synthisea again. I don't need all these Synths but am a magpie concerning software. Enjoy your day
Is there some sort of trick to get the modulation to work? I assign stuff to the LFOs and nada. I've tried with both the Clap and the VST3 versions on Linux and the modulation on neither one seems to work.
Zebralette has always been free, and so will 3, according to U-he press messages. Zebralette 3 contains details from the huge brother, Zebra! So think of it as a step into the u-he sound. Then to get the full control and more oscillators and options you buy the Zebra 3 when it comes out! It will be a no-brainer!
The only down side is it only has two effect I know they want us to use other plugin because this is a framed for their new hardware synth but still kinda suck

Oh, that modulation is very similar to how Serum handles mod. I feel Zebralette 3 is very easy to work your way around.

Yeah Zebralette 3 is a lovely update, cant wait for Zebra 3. Dunno about wrappers or back compatibility, check with U-he website info.

Yeah you need to increase the depth knob which is 0% by default.
