Part of me kind of wishes they'd go back and re explore Draenor and fix everything. I think the ogre continent they mentioned could have been really interesting if they'd gone that direction.
@@SandwichDoctorZ It probably won't ever get to this point, but i think it could be cool if there was a "Warlords of Draenor: Classic" released, where blizzard adds everything that was intended to be added to the expansion. Wouldn't really be a "Classic" experience but it's definitely something they would be able to do.
ive been binge watching all the crowd reactions for the expansions and i actually shed tears? i remember how exciting it was for new expansions and it just makes me so happy
Kargath - First raid boss in the expansion Blackhand - One of the best fights in the game Durotan - On our side Grommash - We don't fight Kilrog - Who? Gul'dan - kill him 2 tiers into the next expansion ner'zhul - The OG lich king, dungeon boss Well done blizzard, you truly did fuck up some of the most badass and lore important characters
Kargath Bladefist... first Raidboss indeed.... 7th was that Imperator-dude... frikkin menace hé was, where Kargath was ez-mode on mythic, in compare... WoD was a terrible dissapointment. It started well, despite the dissapointments in the lore with Doomhammer's simple demise.. Blackrock Foundry was a very good Raid... But then the Expansion was rushed to a finish with the coming of Hellfire citadel, and the end of it. There should have been atleast 1 full Raidtier between BRF and HFC... two perhaps? The mighty Shadowmoon-Clan was 'deduced' to a simple 5man-instance, where this surely had the potency to be a FULL 10-14-boss Raidinstance? Ner'zhul as the 2nd last boss, and Gul'dan as the final, but a bít like the Lich King: As soon as you hit the 10% marker, you dont get a free kill, but Gul'dan freezes the raidgroup for a good minute, only to escape through a Fel Portal, indicating that he'd join the Legion? But its obvious that during WoD, the Blizzard-commerce department had already 'developed' all sorts of new milking-exploits, like the WoW-tokens, the increased Goldcap(causing a hyper-inflation!), and pushed to the next Expansion to fully facilitate these new means to sate their Greed, instead of developing an expansion that could have stood alongside WotLK in potency. There could, and shóuld have been so much more in WoD. Especially since they made it so EASY to level a new alt, with the xp-potions, Garrisons providing plenty of funds.... then came Legion and maintaining even 1 Alt became an impossible grind...going from 1 extreme into another... They really destroyed the game with that. Atleast for me, personally, after 8 years of WoW, and always loving to play stuff from an alt: Different Raid-perspective, Legion was the WoW-killer for me. Grinding that darn artefact for my main was boring enough already. Having to do that mássive quest- and daily grind again on a 2nd or even a 4rd char just did it for me.. I loved to DPS and Tank on my Paladin, and then expand my experience by Raidhealing on my Resto Shaman(shaman's Healingmastery was broken too, due to OP Discpriest sabotaging Deep Healing, but it was managable still), yet getting an alt to an acceptable level, mainly due to the impossible/endless Artefact grind... no... oh man, that was just TOO much. And to come back to the hyper-inflation: By raising the Goldcap from 1M to 10M, AH-items just went alley-oop... Things became só expensive so quickly... even a crafted item became inaffordable... 'unless you PAID for Gold"... well fk that...
It had the potential to be a great expansion, the only thing wrong about it was the lack of content, but that falls on blizzard's laziness, I'd say what we got was actually quite good, even if there was little of it. Atleast we were not stuck with 2-4 artifacts to level and constantly praying to get the right stats on our gear.
Nope, same. Everytime I play through all expansions, I still get the same feeling: amazed and thrilled. I don't level up through dungeons; I play for the sake of finding details I did not before. This game is amazing and many things are often overlooked.
Honestly WoD's biggest failure was how it was handled more than what it actually provided, but it still provided lower quality content too. It was rushed and half-assed for so much content more promises than all other xpacs combined were failed to be delivered on. It lasted just as long as a regular xpac with less content releases than any other. There was also a lot of controversy surrounding its destruction of the fairly well balanced system of rotation vs. mechanics. They released a 'content patch' that was literally just twitter integration. The zones were pretty boring for the most part with far less character than the other xpacs. I could go on and on and on, WoD is unquestionably the worst xpac. But the real question is 'was it BAD'? And I would say no. It wasn't 'horrendous' it just failed to live up to any previous xpac by a huge margin, it had great raids and dungeons, but everything else was just far lower comparatively to other xpacs rather than WoD being a 'bad' game.
Warlords of Draenor was done so dirty. I loved the idea of going back to see Draenor before it became Outland, and it looked gorgeous! It was amazing! I loved the look and feel and atmosphere, and they did nothing with it!
People usually say on expansions that they sucks but after it's over they regret and say that the currect expansion is bad and miss the old one xD I never hated WoD, for me it's better than BfA and SL

people hate wod because took less time than we expected to finish, missing like 400 things to finish wod lore, they just destroyed what could be perfect, and turn the villain into the good guy (grommash)
community, blizzard does not have freedom of deisgn like they had before... ppl complained about "too much orcs blah blah", so they changed zones and remade many things. fools. thats why orgrim doomhammer char was scrapped.
I loved WoD leveling and zones. Then Garrison endgame happened. Then super lackluster 6.1 happened. Then 6.2 happened and announced as the last patch. The potentially big Iron Horde story was scrapped for a Legion tie-in instead. Like, lets just immediately forgive everything befriend our big enemy to fight Gul'dan. Such a great expansion that could have touched on Shattrath (a scrapped raid) and offered better playability to those amazing zones... Only to be thrown under the bus with shitty patches and anti-social Garrisons.
I have to strongly disagree. The content-draught during WoD can be compared to no other expansion. I am no fan of BFA, but atleast it has a motivating cinematic and content (not stating its quality) to keep you busy.
@@maregondrako they said 'in comparison' not that WoD was worth a damn. A dog turd smells like fresh cut roses, in comparison to a horse turd. dont mean the dog turd doesnt smell horribly. people keep using this same ass shitty straw man.
I can't stand comparing WoD to BfA xD WoD: cool start, things to do for like a month, then probably the biggest content drought in history excluding droughts before next expansions and 0 things to do in the world, reputations that just said "kill 100000 of these mobs to get exalted" (6.1 with no content and 6.2 with more apexis dailies that everyone hated). Many people including me cancelled their subscription during that drought for a long time. BfA: also not a bad start, some things to do in the world, then 8.1 with more campaign quests, 8.2 which was one of the best patches (many cool things to do in 2 new zones) then a bit bad but still with some content came 8.3. BfA had many problems with boring warfronts, islands and scuffed systems, but if we compare things to do then WoD is nowhere near BfA.
