Loopy Pro: Using tap/double-tap/hold without latency on the single tap

  • This video demonstrates MIDI binding settings for using:
    * Tap: toggle record/overdub
    * Double-tap: peel (remove) overdub layer
    * Hold: stop
    Typically, to avoid double-tap and hold from triggering the tap action the "Defer Other Actions" option is used. This has the side effect, though, of delaying response of single taps until Loopy knows if the tap is a part of a double-tap or hold. Without deferred action, Loopy immediately triggers the record action when the tap happens. So, our double-tap and hold bindings have to stop the recording we didn't meant to do before performing the intended action.
