With the frog I swapped from converting corn into oil rather than bait and then use that along with fish to make food thats good on trips to mine lots of ore.
Thanks Wak. You might be on to something with the waiting till the last sec to start reeling in. It was hard to tell though since the server was a little laggy. I had been reeling in right when the fish bites and the top bar would always be empty but waiting seemed to fill it a little. I also caught 3 eels in my 12 attempts to compare to no eels in my 20 attempts on launch day.
When there and got frog the leaper and it doesn't have the same trait. The one I have creates a potion that lets you jump higher. Are there different version of this deviant?
i casted once and caught one fish, it's a purple rarity koi carp! it was larger than my character model! but idk what to do with it, it's not showing up in any recipes. Anyone know about it?
@@baumo86 I just used the bait glob you can make from corn. I think it's more about location tbh. I got it in a river north or NE of the phone booths in the first tier area. Also found out they can go in a fish tank as a pet!

The fishing system has been updated since this video. Everything you need to keep track of is now around the bobber icon, center screen
They changed the aim indicator. I also think they changed the system for the better. It seemed too complicated before.

do you beed certain baits for the fishes in normal? just saw on that bait universal bait. maby this is why i dont get the right fish
As far as I know there are only two regular baits, the one made with corn and the one made with rubber.
@@silaaron76 i found 3 more. 2 at fishingpoint from greywater and the bait from the frog. dont know if the other ports have other baits.
@@sindahir3 That's why I said regular, I assume the universal is all bait. Were the greywater ones craftable or just buyable?
Is there a certain quest or something linkd to that spot? I climbed up to the very top and the lil frog aint there 😬
It’s just a random spawn. No quest required. Just keep checking for it to spawn there.

Mine does that too but also produces the bait. Do you have 2 production slots on the containment cage?

where is the vendor you can trade fish to?
Look for piers on the map, odds are ones there. Fishing events always have the vendor where they happen too.

You can put it in an Aquarium.
