It’s the same vocalist from Cemetery Skyline, a reaction you did a few months ago. His main band Dark Tranquillity is worth a listen.

Enjoyed your reaction 😀 This band are great. They have released 1 album, so im excited for the new one. Shadowminds from their first album are a great one to start with. You have reacted to this vocalist before. Mikael Stanne are also in Cemetery skyline, and he does both cleans and harsh vocals. He’s also the vocalist in Dark Tranquility, another swedish melodic death metal band. Known for their Gothenburg sound also like In flames got. If you want to check out Dark Tranquility i can recommend Not nothing and Wayward Eyes. Here you get Mikael singing with both cleans and harsh vocals. And the songs are bangers too 😀 Cheers from Sweden 😀🇸🇪

Nice catch Maria! The Halo Effect is made up of former members of the legendary Swedish melodic death metal band In Flames mainly. That band was founded in the 90s, and was one of the first and biggest in their genre. Over the years people have come and gone, and former members formed this group. They are very socially conscious. I think its about any minority of any kind (or any group denied representation despite their numbers). The Swedes take their democracy very seriously and theres recently been a wave of authoritarian movements across Europe. But honestly I've only heard this song once before now, so I don't claim any special knowledge. The band in general is about being thought provoking, without being obvious about it, like the antiwar movement was here during Vietnam. In other words apolitical. They assume that free speech and more importantly, free thought are guardrails for civilization and that if they keep it vague everyone will be able to identify their message with an injustice where they live, not just ones that effect the band. But thats just my interpretation. Great reaction 👍

Yeah, it seems like it's a Pro Life song. That's exactly what I thought and that makes the song even more GREAT AND EPIC! Good reaction! 👍
