People need to buy more clones and make them popular alternatives so that these designer houses can come back to earth with their insane prices. In the 90s and early 20s the EDTs costed half as much and performed twice as their current counterparts. We can’t keep paying for inferior products.
Really! Calvin Klein Euphoria smells so good but it has to be the worst performing fragrance in my collection. i seriously thought i had a fake until i saw that online reviewers experienced the samething, while on the other hand my $12 dupe of a much more expensive fragrance not only smells like the original but performs like a beast. But i do have to say that i dropped the bottle of that dupe and was upset because it can be hard to find, and when i did find another bottle it wasnt as intense as the first. still not bad for $12 but we all hate when companies reformulate an already great product.
Am I the only one who doesn't care about the presentation or the bottle? The juice inside is all in worried about. I don't buy fragrances because I like pretty bottles.
I have most of these. I even got backup and even three bottles in some cases. All bangers. Helped me save a lot of money. The proliferation of such excellent clones has turned the designer niche industry topsy turvey. They are discontinuing lines which are popular and the clones are capitalizing from legacy. For users this means building out an excellent scent collection on a relativey inexpensive budget.
For real, before watching, I think a lot of clone (unless they horridly cheap) could pass for the original, when not compared side by side. Unless it’s your signature scent or you’re a perfumer, most people probably couldn’t tell (with clones with proper bloody quality). A lot of niche-head just live in denial about that 😂
@fasolaru8674 enigma is closer to sauvage yes. i have enigma, but not asad or sauvage. It is a better clone, but is it a better scent?? From what I understand, asad is similar but a little sweeter and has less of the licorice note. Some may prefer that. Just saying. Everyone has their own taste and preferences. And budget.
Asad is amazing! I’m wearing it right now and wear it most days. Such a no brainer, just buy it. Def have a few more to pick up soon, starting with Detour Noir, Renheit and Gary’s Den. Great list brother👏👏👏
The bottom line and reality of things is majority of perfume users buy a perfume because we like the smell of it, if we can get the same scent and even better longevity and projection than the original one for a much cheaper price of course we won’t hesitate. Only perfume and fragrance snobs would go for the original one even if the result is the exact same (and even less duration and projection in some cases) for whatever reasons they believe in whether is supporting the brand, the “quality” of the ingredients, the history behind it, etc. What these clones have put on the table is the fact that you can achieve certain famous scent for 1/4 of the cost luxury brands are charging and like I said in some cases even making it better in terms of duration. There’s no excuse for luxury brands to keep making perfumes and reformulating them to the point that they don’t even last 3 hours on the skin, I hope these clones keep getting even better and leaving luxury brands no other option than to step up their game and stop ripping off their clients.
I generally buy original niche and designer clones because the clones are a no-brainer. Lasts just as long on skin if not more than the original and you save soooo much money. One that really got me though its cloning a niche brand is spectre ghost.
I actually wound-up liking some of the DG one flanker clones more than i do my original DG the one. Moonlit is so good. Loved royal night but can't seem to find the FW clone of it anymore.
Perlador is not a bad clone. I've had it a while and it's absolutely nuclear. It's much rougher around the edges than Carlisle but if you don't mind some screechiness, go for it.
blind bought nebula and i dont regret it ngl, best way to describe it is like a slightly boozy chocolate type of scent. Definitely worth trying out if some of you haven't got to smell it
I’ve been dying to snag a bottle of luminous. I missed the few restocks from last summer. But my sister in law found a bottle super easily in the Middle East. I’m curious as to whether this is like Bleu Électrique which is hard to find but readily available overseas
I have untold and really liked it. But i wore it 2 weeks ago and i felt it smelt like it was going off? Like its been in sunlight . First 2-3 months i didn't pick that smell up.

I'd love to see you do a comparison of Paris Corner Charuto Tobacco Vanille (Pendora) to TF Tobacco Vanille. I have both and almost dead on, and the clone is 30-40 dollars. Have you tried this one?
Asad is for $24 right now don’t pay $40. I got an unbelievable clone today I’m scared to say the name cause once people start buying it I know the price is about to be ridiculous
Great video. I do have a question and I wonder if you could square this circle considering the name and intent of this video. Let's take Detour Noir for example. You stated that it's inexpensive, great quality, great performance, one of the best, and you wear it when you don't want to "waste" your bottle of Layton...but want to smell like it! How do you explain that? Logic dictates that if this clone is so good, so inexpensive, of quality, good performance, one of the best, and so close to Layton that you wear it when "you want to smell like Layton"...why on Earth would or should someone buy Layton? It makes no sense unless one somehow derives their self importance and self worth from owning a $300 bottle of scented water. Conversely, knowing that there is a clone that is far more inexpensive, good quality, great performance, and one to wear to basically "fool" yourself and others, and knowing you paid 10x more, is quite ego crushing, foolish and embarrassing. Considering a scent smells different on each person's' skin, and considering the unending reformulations, the scent or "DNA" should be of most importance rather than the house or bottle or cost. So, I agree with you. Detour Noir is a clone that could pass for the original and most always does! It's a great scent, inexpensive, of good quality, great performance, easy to purchase, and on skin will "fool" 99.9999999% of people.
Tis the nature of a luxury good like high end fragrances. Sometimes the high price carries a certain panache / attraction that some consumers are willing to pay for. Some people like to have the "real" thing and not a fake / clone; and, they are willing to pay a premium.
Couldn't agree with you more. I have very few originals I still buy. Only the ones I haven't found a good clone of yet. And for the 80s and 90s stuff that I love, the clones are way better than the current hyper reformulated versions. Their are some noble folks that buy originals because they believe the investors deserve the $'s
Most youtubers are usually hyping up the clones to no end while in reality in most cases, there is a pretty good difference with the original, especially in quality. That's why most collectors do still keep the originals around but use them for special occasions while the clone is used casually when you wanna smell like the expensive original, but don't really need the near perfection of the original.
Perfection? Once that "perfection" leaves that bottle, it smells different. It's just a fact. Different on skin, different on clothes, different on paper., different in the air, different in heat, different in cold weather. Granted, there is "kind of close", and then there are CLONES. If you have a great clone, a real good one...no one, and I mean no one, will be able to tell the difference after it leaves the bottle, mixes with skin and clothes, sweat, air, and drydown. @@hamzatariqgolden4
I could care less about clones, especially when it’s comes to fragrances. If it smells good and performs well, I’ll take that one. I could never see myself spending $300 for any fragrance
