What's interesting is that Joseph and Martin never commented about what those missing pages were about.

I think the Q manuscript and the 116 pages don't belong in the same discussion because they are too different. Q is based on a skeptical approach to Bible studies. The Q manuscript theory ignores the fact that 2 different people writing about the same historical events will describe somethings the same. The Q manuscript has never been seen by anybody. The 116 lost pages were seen and touched by several people. A theorized writing never seen by anybody doesn't belong in the same discussion as a writing seen by several people.

by definition 'lost pages' means that we will never know what was written on the pages. Furthermore, the Mormon God must have considered the content of the lost 116 pages, which contained the 'book of Lehi' not suitable for inclusion in the Book of Mormon as the prophet Mormon says in THE WORDS OF MORMON that he found another record which Mormon abridged to cover the lost 116 pages. The lost 116 pages are totally irrelevant. If the Book of Lehi was important the text would have been revealed again to Smith to include in the Book of Mormon.

William Covington: Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I think Don Bradley's book isn't a problem, as long as we realize he is making the best educated guess. If we don't think we are getting the pure unadulterated Book of Lehi, we won't fall away from The Lord.

You should read section 10. Whether God could reveal the text again or not is a moot point. Furthermore, the fact that they are missing does not mean they are irrelevant. There are numerous examples of lost and found ancient texts. Biblical examples abound, and the rediscovery of those lost texts are certainly relevant to modern Biblical scholarship.

Thank you Don Bradley. I have read your and then reread the Book of Mormon. I can't tell the difference this made for me in understanding the Book of Mormon. I spiritual testimony has increased since then.
