I've used diesel as a flush using oil/diesel 4:1 ratio for over 30 years with zero problems. VW trained mechanic who advised me to start doing it.

I remember back in the day when many tv programmes were broadcast live due to the high cost of video/film recording at the time, there were always mistakes broadcast. One clever presenter added a regular line near the end of his (quiz?) programme by saying "Did you spot tonight's deliberate mistake?' and then tell you what it was. (there was always at least one). I think we'd need a slightly better view of the engine bay here to spot the cause of that interesting pink spurting going on here though. 😁

If you wanna the engine clean on the inside. put some diesel fuel in the old oil. let it idle for 10-15min. change oil and the engine is like new on the inside. :)

I don't know about denmark but here in sweden these escorts hace been a rare sight since early 2000s so if denmark is anything like us it's very likely this car has been left standing for years and years.

You can tune a timing belt with a smartphone and an app. Its the most genius thing I've seen.

Not my choice of car but you are looking after it well. Might be worth using some flushing oil to get rid of all that gunk.

Was considering it... but I will just try with a quick couple of oil changes.. :)

For American viewers, if you didn't already figure it out, "servo" is what we call "power steering"

Is it possible to clean the engine from inside... Like doing a de-carbonising machine...? Or doing oil flushes is only option...?

You can buy a can of engine oil flush - you put it in 10 or 20 minutes before oil change and then drain it. For sure it'll help dislodge all that crap!

What is the oil you wer using. Biltema? Lidl has even cheaper engine oil which might just be perfect for what you were doing here. Actualy it doesnt really seem to be that bad of an oil either as long as you change it every 12 months or 10-15K Kms at the most. 30k oil changes are not a good Idea even if VW tells you it is.

@@SeasideGarage Thast pretty cheap oil . Looked like it could be old biltema oil before they changed the bottles.

Yeah, oil cakes in an engine, not good, I'm sure there's flushing stuff to dissolve and clean that out, but people seem to be so utterly terrible at actually changing oil in engines these days that it's a miracle they last as long as they do... :S
