I bought my cat all types of toys. Never touched any of them. But throw balled up tin foil at him and he turned nuts.

My cat is the same way. She feels she owns everything in the house anyway, so if she plays with something it is a cat toy.

Our 2 cats have a thing for hair lackies as well.
I bought a nerf gun to scare them off the kitchen bench but they just chase the bullets down the hall.
I bought 10 nerf bullets and I can not find any of them anymore. Under the fridge, the washing machine, the lounge, the bed. Anywhere they can poke them

Just a note to everyone, if your cat while playing with the hair tie seems more liable to chew it than anything… it’s possibly a bad swallowing and choking hazard to them. But if they more play with it, like this, usually these cats are fine.
