DIY 18650 Battery Project
I soldered am IP2312 USBC charging board onto a BMS Battery Management system onto a 3.7 volt 18650 battery from china to power a Roku TV Remote so that its rechargeable and wont let me down!

Hahaha well it’s a 10/10 as far as UA-cam is concerned.. unfortunately that’s the worst rating you can receive. It’s also my favorite one of the last few months!
Do you need to install a battery management system or can you just install the 18650 with the usb c board?
The usbc board has a little management system of its own to prevent overcharging. But I did add a BMS between the battery and the controller so I wouldn’t suck it completely dry on accident.
I think you should 3d print a case for it
I 100% agree. I bought a 3d printer and haven’t set it up yet.
RIP peripheral :(
It was so good!
Don't accidentally take it to the airport...
Haha, I’ll make a label that says “not a bomb” for the side of it.
I actually made a label, took a new photo and reuploaded the thumbnail!! Thanks for the inspiration..👍
Design a 3d printed case.
That’s the plan! I’ve been sitting on this 3D printer still in the box; I’ve got to get that out and figure out how to work it.
They make rechargeable remotes for 30$
Huh... well how about that.. I mean technically this was only like $6 in parts and way more fun for me to put together..
Nasty
SO Nasty...
First...again
Dang, Grant.. Trying to get invited to the annual BBQ?!?
