I used to be an iPad warrior when the first iPad came out. Therefore, my muscle memories were kinda consistent for every FPS game which discouraged me to switch to phone. Until my iPad’s got a weird bug that sometimes drops the fps while playing at 90 fps. This totally messed my muscle memories and morale for codm. Meanwhile, my phone is not as powerful as my iPad but has consistent 60 fps. My transition from iPad to phone was the same as Vague but cool as it gave me fresh feelings and new challenges to enjoy the game. This season is the first time I confidently use phone only to rank up and get better although it’s a painful process ;). Anyways, I prefer to be a phone player because somedays I could have a chance to participate in competitive scenes.
This was really nice video! I especially agree with the "Oh, hes playing on phone, so maybe I can do that too" thing. As a phone player myself, I dont know almost any phone players and it can really make me feel like "Can I even be that good with a phone?".
Very nice words of wisdom made even better by Kith 's edits. I've played using my Xperia 5ii ever since, but I use it with a gamepad 4-trigger controller thingy with a built in cooler, and finger sleeves too.

Lots of times when I get streaks (without Persistence) I don’t use them cause I rather have the gun kills for grinding camo skins. I always use UAV , but I rarely ever drop Sentry gun or anything more than It.

I'm a CODM beginner (1,5 months) coming from an other mobile shooter where I played several years with tablet. I started CODM with my new Phone and felt immediately fine with it cause the HUD is so perfectly designed. And Jokesta videos gave me the confidence you can become good even with phone. So until today I stick with phone and love it more than tablet gameplay. BTW: I had to "earn" CODM the hard way. I learned the old shooter gameplay with inverted Y Axis. Activision refused to offer this option so I had to relearn a movement pattern which was deeply engraved in my nervous system.
Mobile any day. GG video, and glad Vague mentioned sticking on phone. It's harder being good on phone why it's rewarding. And why a good phone player is respected, while it's like "anyone can be good on iPad". There is more to it than meets the eye.

I would stick to phones because of gyroscope, It's how I track, aim switch instantly and flick which allows me to take multiple gunfights at once without dying

Got the layout from Jokesta and adjusted it for myself. Claw grip ofc. 20 years of FPS experience from PC definitely helps.

5:30 caveat on this. Unless you were using a Red Magic phone (someone said you can force apps to run on 120fps on there), the iPhone (specifically the 13 Pro/Max) would have more FPS than most other phones apart from the Xperia
I switched from phone to iPad cuz my old phone couldn't handle CODM, i got better and it was kinda easier with big screen but also had downsides ie; iPad begin squarer limited the fov range and obviously the haters saying i played like i did only cuz of the device (tbh I was doing the stuff I was doing on phone but a bit easier). Eventually i switched back to a newer phone took a good while but after the time put in feeling good
If i could go out and buy a tablet right now it would be only for CoD:Mobile. Which in of itself is like buying a gaming console which is built soley for gaming in order to play your favorite tripleA titles. I feel like tablet would be significantly easier because your hands are covering as much of the screen and you don't have to uncomfortably do the mandible claw just to perform well. I would stick with phone because I'd feel like I'm not taking the cheap way out. Tablet is as advantageous as analog controller in my opinion. I went from playing CoD on the xbox since 2007 to playing on smartphones in 2019, and man its taken me 2 years to give up thumbs and go claw. Im still practicing after all this time, my performance is wildly inconsistent.
Awesome vid! I used to play wager BR in private lobbies. My avg damage on iPad was 2.4k over 5k matches. Now I play for fun on iPhone and my avg damage is 1.9k over 3k matches. Huge advantage for tablets. br0ken dominates on phone which makes him the GOAT!
Pro tip: focus on one skill until you master it then you can master the other skill necessary to improve I honestly found it fun playing on phone because it challenges me to go beyond mastery

I myself am a phone player and a triggers player that thinks if we were given a choice like this I would say that we should play in our way. People say that triggers or using controllers are considered but it is just someone trying to have fun from something he found out. I use triggers because I got bored of the same old games just using thumbs and claw. I felt inspired when I found out about triggers. When I got my first pair I was overjoyed, but when started to use them I was just like vague in this video I thought I was going to be good on phone with triggers but sadly I wasn't. It took me way longer than a time to completely master triggers than it took vague to master claw on phone.

I am a two thumb phone player since launch in 2019. I have upgraded my phone from a note 9 to the one plus 8t*5g. I play on cell service due to horrible Internet service. Would not recommend this a pro career choice but still fun to play every day with the Krazy yeti clan.

I stole a cbr4 build from vague and it's really nice, usually i have to tweak stolen build for my own liking but it was perfect right away.
