    These are amazing, it's the first time I spent so much on plugins but I after I gave a try on the free trial I just had to have them, they sound amazing and do not regret the purchase. Keep up with the videos :D

    Outstanding video! Not only a good demo, but great little mixing tidbits and applications. Top shelf presentation as well. 🤘🤘

    Good job. You got me wanting more compressor plugins even though I've explicitly told myself "no more compressor plugins" haha

      @TheRealStevenWard  Рік тому +2

      Dooo eeeeet! 🤣🤣 I was surprised how much I liked these compressors. I knew they were gonna be good quality but I've never been creatively inspired by a compressor like these.

    Ooh, not to talk about how insanely beautiful the design is on these plugins! Great job man, you're fueling my GAS haha

      Absolutely! The design is beautiful! I know you'd end up enjoying these for sure. Normally I don't get that excited over new gear but these were fantastic

    the drive option is cool and should actually be standard in any plugin emulating analog gear, the 1:5:1 ratio on the 76 could be cool with the drive to clip drums lightly when they peak. Song was dope!

    • @TheRealStevenWard
      @TheRealStevenWard  Рік тому +1

      Agreed! The drive should definitely be standard. I'll definitely try that out on drums for my next mix!

    I love Softube's plugins, but it really bothers me that they put the DRY/WET control before the output gain.
    Is there a reason I'm missing as to why they do this?

    • @TheRealStevenWard
      @TheRealStevenWard  Рік тому +2

      I'm actually not sure. I'll ask and see if I can get an answer though! 😁

      Dry and wet mix are for mixing the signals. Once you have the mixture you want, you then need to use the output to give the desired volume in The full mix. Hope this helps

    • @TjMoon91
      @TjMoon91 Місяць тому

      @@capitalcrud9062 but you should be able to balance the wet signal before the mix control. Then sweeping the mix control won’t drastically change the level, and a setting a 50% actually gives you a 50/50 mix.

    How it with compare to slate vmr fet compressors?

    • @TheRealStevenWard
      @TheRealStevenWard  Рік тому +2

      Based off the same model but the softube version will have more options. It's been a long time since I've used the slate FET but I wasn't terribly impressed with it when I had it. It was decent for basic utility but not much else.
