Taengsic's voices are the reason why all snsd song sounds so iconic and blend well. Because usually when they sang the chorus, taengsic sing louder the others. Well it also because they both the main vocal. But thats also the reason why their song sounds good. Taengsic's voices blend so well. If you look the old videos when they train vocal together its magical. That's why now snsd song sounds different. But I still support both snsd and jessica. The only hope that i want is someday, maybe when miracle happens someday taengsic can perform a duet together. And by that i mean a new song for those two.

I'm surprised that sm, known for squeezing their artists to the end for money, didn't create such a duet that would have sold so well. even better than tts (I love tts btw) but honestly taengsic was so highly requested and sought for. SM actually acknowledges taengsic quality that's why they made the two promote separately during their early years because they thought it was the optimal solution to spread their snsd quality. Taeyeon got several solo songs and collab while jessica was team up with seohyun and tiffany and also got several collabs like with park myungsoo and onew. Actually, jessica's songs carry more of that original snsd sound (naengmyun, it's fantastic, one year later, etc.).
What happens when Taengsic sing together? They make 1 distinct voice that perfects SNSD vocally. Their voices combined, create the special voice that sets SNSD apart from everyone else...
You know what, after 9/30, i ceased my kpop-ing activity and it was until late 2015 when I heard Party and Lion Heart then i tought it was sung by apink or other bubblegum pop girl group. Then my friend told me it was SNSD's and i was surprised how different they sound without Jessica. The voice which made soshi special is gone, and so the characteristic vocal of soshi is gone also.
for those that do not understand musical terms; in short, jessica's voice gives height, while taeyeon's voices gives width and together, its a perfect round harmonisation of two voice. taengsic's harmony is one of the best in kpop and its hard to find 2 voices that match and blend so easily,, but i guess sm doesn't feel that way
bubble pop SM feels that way too, because if they didn't, Jessica would've been in the dance line and Yuri or Sooyoung would've taken her vocalist spot and maybe upgrade Sunny/Seohyun as the other main vocal. It's unfortunate though how Jessica and SNSD separated on not so good terms.

PikachuCL _ AFAIK Jessica was a pretty well rounded trainee, having to train longer than most of the SNSD members, so she was especially good at dancing and singing, and she, at one point, had to choose whether to prioritize singing or dancig because she cannot do both, as it would be an overkill to hold a main vocal and lead/main dancer position at the same time. Re:anemia, she didn’t really have it THAT worse like Krystal who faints on stage, but Jessica at debut was a great performer who can sing and dance at the same time, only in the later years she would “slack off” and would adapt the “always try to look pretty” type of performer.

Non fans & fans alike can agree that Taeyeon and Jessica's voice are so good together. The blending was just a match made in heaven. This two voices are one of a kind among GG. A distinct combination & signature that is SNSD.
It's this taengsic voice that Im used to listening in all GG's song. Absenc of this voice, wouldn't make the song sounds the same again. It's this distinct voice that tells me that I'm listening to GG's song. Not to mention sica's departure, I can feel a lack of voice in every OT8 songs. Just something missing.
