I got the Y8 a month ago. I haven’t played sax since college so it’s been a minute. I practice once a week and I’m still getting used to the sensitive keys and octive roller. Overall it’s been fun getting back into playing without breaking the bank.
I think the main difference b/w Y8 & I8 is the output and voices. Y8 has a speaker that looks more acoustic.
My criticism would be the limited instruction manual but videos make up for that. Also my display has some errors: it reads trombone but instead it’s trumpet.

I returned it. There’s no half key, there must be 12 tones on it, it is not possible changing keys with transpose button while playing a lick.

The quality of the sound seems poor, however, I imagine that it sounds more rich and realistic when playing through an amplifier or headphones.

The battery of Y8 is longer than i8-pro; The speaker of Y8 is higher than i8-pro. The tone of Y8 is more than i8-pro; The menu is also different. i8-pro has 3 store keys for fast memory. i8-pro is a little more lightweight and portable. The price is differen but all within $100.
