Funny story... Tom and Adam were just wrapping up the album and they were waiting on Dax to send over his verse for this song. Tom and Adam had originally written like 16 bar verses lol, but then Dax sent over like a 30-something bar verse, and Tom and Adam were so blown away by it they thought, "Holy crap were gonna have to re-write out verses now." -- And they did... but after more thought and discussion, they decided to keep their original verses and just added to them, and I think Tom switched up the beat for it. They wanted to let Dax's verse shine because they really felt like it was special. They ended up using the re-written verses for the song "Race War" and added it to the album. You can even hear the space in Race War where Tom would have taken the big breath that he takes in Black and White, and why the double time flow is the same as in Black and White, and why the rhyme scheme is so similar. Might be and interesting one to have her react to lol.
I agree personally that Tom and Adam went ham! The whole point was for Dax to be in the spotlight on this one. If you notice, even during Adam and Toms verses Dax is in the back ground acting like he didn’t want to be part of it. And then Tom reduced the beat for Dax to come in and be heard loud and clear! Tom likes to give features on his collaboration albums to those that he respects. Just like on the unreleased track for “Whiteboyz” on “The Brave“ album, Tom added madchild for a third verse and madchild completely just went ballistic and it was awesome!!

You astonished me saying you don’t see Tom and Adam together, but see Tom and Dax together; Tom and Adam have two full Albums together, “The Brave” and “The Brave 2,” with Tom being featured on some of Adam’s songs. Dax and Tom have only collaborated on a handful of songs.
I'm a 60-ish Texas rancher, I grew up with original metal, born in the early 60's so I literally grew up with metal, Black Sabbath, blue cheer, Judas priest, acdc, motley Crue, you know the names I grew up working cattle, riding bulls, team roping, etc. I raced cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, and airplanes. After college I served as a USAF fighter pilot, like my father who was a WWII, Korea, and Vietnam war fighter pilot. 3 of my 4 brothers flew in Vietnam as well . I became and have since retired as an airline captain. So I could not relate to what I'll call "OG" RAP. I had nothing against it, it just spoke a language that didn't fit my life, you get me? Mistreating women, drugs, killing for anything other than revenge, just isn't the cowboy way. I'm not racist, why the color of someone's skin matters doesn't make a fuckwit of sense to me. I tried to listen to Eminem, but he's a fucknut sorry if he's your boy, personally I don't think he's worth the price of a bullet. I'd use my hands. So that was my exposure to Rap. I'm not exactly their target audience. But then a couple of years ago I came across Tom. He changed my entire understanding of the genre. Not only does he speak truths that I strongly believe in, but he gave me an appreciation of the genre and what the real rappers are trying to express. I think Tom is one of the extremely rare artists that have the power to change the world. I appreciate and enjoy your videos, respect my brother and sister. Well done.
