Thanks for these videos. It’s awesome to see how it’s done in different places. We use loaders with pushboxes and snow blowers and load it into trucks. We even use dozers to knock piles down and make room for more snow. Been a pretty good year for plowing. So far far we’ve had 3 snow storms and two of them have been historic.
Elena, I really appreciate your videos, since I no longer have the opportunity to see these snow removal operations in the streets of Montreal. I now live in the Laurentians, at the top of a mountain, on which there is a ski resort. I plow my driveway myself with an ATV and a Kubota equipped with a snowblower. So I reproduce these snow removal operations, but on a much smaller scale. Big kids can still have fun with their little toys.
My first winter in Montreal I remember after the first snowfall being awakened at 2 AM by horns and sirens and seeing my neighbors out moving their cars and then the plows and trucks coming around. An hour later all was quiet, and the snow was gone. (I didn't own a car at the time.)
Hey there such a wonderful video I can’t say how much I appreciate everything that you put into it. I have a few questions first one is where do they take all the snow that they all the way after the snow blowers fill it up? Lastly, are you guys struggling with the staffing issues as we do here in America?
No struggling with the staffing issues and here are the videos for snow dump: ua-cam.com/video/ScvlqMXkUZg/v-deo.html or ua-cam.com/video/SKl2TudjCbk/v-deo.html
@@michaelalan1546 In the videos Elena shared with you, snow is dumped into the city's main sewer drains, allowing water from melting snow to be treated by the sewage treatment plant. There are also several waste snow storage sites throughout the city, including an old stone quarry. Search on UA-cam for: (Montreal snow dump), you will get a good idea of the amount of snow received in Montreal during a winter.
By applying lol Don't need specific training but if you don't have experience or basic equipment knowledge they might not hire you and if they do you will start on a small machine forget the big stuff like grader , loader or blowe . You might start on a sidewalk machine and move up ... but start by applying you never know sir

The sidewalk plow should be in front of the street plow not behind it.
They pass a few times before and after.
