Used to think investors lose out amid crash, meanwhile some make profits. I also thought folks went out of business during the great depression, but some went into business. Bottom line, there's always depression for some while others amass wealth gains.

Right, a lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions, no offense. I remember years back, amid covid-19 outbreak, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, thus researched for licensed advisors, and thankfully came across someone of excellence. GDP's already negative, the housing market's already crashing (see all-time high number of price reductions without any sales still), all-time consumer credit card debt, unemployment is skyrocketing and will surpass 2009's 10% peak. Homes and stocks will crash 60%. It's literally 3rd grade math. It was always inevitable. Amen brother. When a stock no longer reacts badly to bad news it has indeed bottomed and Mcdonalds certainly caught my attention for that exact reason! I would say MCD finally caught a bid due to both falling rates and a marginally increased chance of a recession. Always loved owning MCD in that part of the cycle. The major problem with micky ds though is secular and very serious for them. Smart phones, fast casual and curbside pickup have completely changed the fast food landscape. Drive thrus as a whole no longer have any edge in convenience which is a huge problem for them. Also i should add drive thrus are not hip to the younger gens the way it used to be. Food trucks are. Any food truck etfs???

Things like data centers, nuclear energy, renewables, rare earth metals, mining etc? Would be very interested to get your take on that.

Enjoyed your video and listening to your perspective on current sentiment. Towards the end of your video you give advice to find investment opportunities that are flying under the radar (ie. natural gas, nuclear energy, data center). Don't you think that most investors will fail trying to find an obscure company in these industries?

What you mention is correct. For example about tesla but during that time, the economy was still doing "alright". There are concrete proof that the economy is much worst than previous time and there are path to go lower with recession. Buying at dip is fine but not all in. I always like to all in as i do not like to buy in trunches which i believe there will also be people like me.

What do you think about buying lithium miners? One of the most hated sectors right now. EV sales are going down, manufacturers still have large stockpiles, and Chinese lithium miners are pressing down prices. Arcadium's CEO thinks we are at bottom lithium prices right now. When prices recover is anyone's guess.

I swing deep value stocks, many paying big divs with acceptable current coverage ratios. I now started buying some beaten up growth names, incrementally adding to those that seem overpunished. Having 40% cash and 20% longer duration treasuries right now, I love this bouncy market. If it drops big then I am really happy. I'm adding to all of my PM/ Commodity miner plays too. This is my kind of market. I believe Fomo BS growth, buy and hold cap weighted indexing is a toxic cocktails waiting to blow up
