Jockey is the world your looking for :P
Kevin is such a sweetheart and I love to hear him talk about nico bc you can hear how much he likes to work with him and the other guys in the band ❤️
They all just seem like such good dudes. But Kevin and David especially
@@brionyb4007 for what I've seen in the vlogs that they do they all have the same wholesome energy the Daniel's, pascal, nico, David and Kevin look and feel like a family I've been a fan since 2014 and with sushi you could see the separation between the guys and him I'm happy to see all of them doing what they love
Nico was the best thing that could have happen to this band, hold him close and never let him go!!
1 hundred percent
I agree! His voice is amazing!
Not to discredit Sushi, he also has a great voice, but Nico's voice is an amazing fit
As a German it amazes we how these guys are loved internationally and how people like Finn help them (not only now but for quite some time now) to gain even more attention.
I'm in Australia and EC has been my favourite band for at least the last 5 years
Kevin is one of my favorite personalities in the scene. He is always so positive
Kevin, Winston McCall, Eric and Brian from i prevail, and Sam Carter. Best humans💜
Nico did for EC what Ramos did for Lorna Shore, as shockingly different as they are. I find the fact that both bands are signed for Century Media as another common aspect hilarious.
This!!
So, so true!!
Electric Callboy are such an entertaining and inspiring band. This is a great video, thank you Finn.
I like Eskimo Callboy better
There is definitely some very special chemistry between Nico and Kevin that has elevated the entire Band to a different level. You can see it in the face of Kevin when he talks about Nico that they get along very well and how happy he is about that connection they have as musicians.
It really makes sence that EC and Sushi parted ways, Sushi always said in interviews that he's more of a punk kid and it shows in Ghostkid. He's much more serious and darker, like really really dark and EC is colorful and fun. They're not that different musically but theme-wise, if that makes sence. I love both bands, but to me it's sad that Ghostkid hasn't that much succes.
When Nico joined it seemed like they were finally able to let the beast out of the cage. They popped off and their potential was realized. I absolutely love the creativity of them and the production value of their videos. They can be silly and fun and serious if the situation calls for it but whatever they are doing at the time, they always go all out
I'm glad Finn has recognized the growth in the band.
Maybe also interesting for you, Finn: The first part of the Hurrikan music video is a parody of German Schlager artist Michael Wendler who had a hugely popular song called „Egal“ (basically translates to „Doesn‘t matter“) in 2017, which became a meme.
But when the Pandemic came around, he turned into one of the most influential conspiracy theorists here in Germany and therefore became a big punchingball for the internet.
I've been following EC since Muffin Purper Gurk in I think 2012. So glad they blew up, because in Australia they were unknown, and I spent so many year's feeling like I was the only one that knew they existed.
Sushi was such a great front man. However, I am glad he left the band. The band was being held back by the clash in creative direction. EC and Sushi have both leveled up so much in their music quality after separating, and having their own creative freedom finally. Ghostkid is such a damn good project with great feature artists too.
Damn dude, outstanding video Finn!
I really enjoyed the conversation and look forward to the Electric Callboy video.
Thank you for being a part of a team of content creators (along with Nic Noc and Tank the Tech) that introduced me to this fabulous band!
Yeah I heard about them from Tank.
Love seeing bands containing people like Kevin, I think having this type of mentality played a huge role in their success.
Always self reflective and humble, and meanwhile so much creativity.
Oh, I didn't know Kevin is Polski 🇵🇱. Very sympathetic guy.
Never seen any of these guys in an interview. This dude has a great outlook.
About beginning - "Ratajczak" is Polish surname, which is funny plot twist for me, didn't noticed that. It comes from Polish old word "rataj", which means "A hired worker in a manor, working mainly on the land" (historical stuff).
About interview, great stuff, can't wait for them in Poland!
Damn he seems so humble and nice about the entirety of the band, their fans and all that comes with it. Love to see and hear it. Glad they are growing.
Love them. Everything they do. Awesome people 👏
Electric Callboy has been one of my top favorite bands since their original EP (Monsieur Mustache Vs Clitcat) in 2010, and I’m from Central NY! I found out about them during a late night at a friends house in Mass. On an Xbox 360 music streaming app, the electronic music with the metalcore just grabbed my attention immediately, I absolutely love them and am just so happy for them to finally get the recognition I believe they have always deserved, I’d show everyone I knew EC and they finally made it!! 🎉❤
Glad to see I’m not the only CentralNY guy who loves Electric Callboy. Grew up near Utica!
@@DrPogo88 no shit! same!
Upstate NY represent
Can't help but love Electric Callboy. Before them, I was thinking I didn't like music anymore or that I had grown out of enjoying music.
As a German I'm glad they finally get the attention they deserve especially as a german band. As we all know Finn is not really a fan of european music so it's exciting to see him making a video about Electric Callboy.
He is so sweet and genuine and so humble with some of the best screams 😍 can't wait for Nico gets better so they can come to the states
I want to hang out with these guys so bad, I can't imagine having a bad day around them ❤🤘
It took me two weeks to get used to the new name. Me and all my friends in México love them. 🎉
I love EC. They’re funny, personable, and can write a serious song when they have to. Also, hearing Finn say that he’s followed them since “Is Anyone Up?” is kind of neat. Kevin was surprised to hear you say it lol
I love this band so much. They're so down to earth and charismatic
They're just good friends coming together to make music anf enjoy it
Having listened to the album...it is great, no weak tracks for me but I like many genres and I think if u are the same it will appeal, if you stick rigidly to a genre or two u may not like it, I am not sure what Finn will think of the album but I have a feeling will not be his cup of tea at all
I found the name discussion hilarious as a Polish person.
Thank you for introducing me to this band months ago, Kevin and the whole band seem like such good people, can't wait to hear the new record!
They are about to embark on tour with support by my hometown homies in Outline In Color!
Wat a lovely conversation
What an absolutely lovely and pleasant young man 😄😄🤣🤣🔥🔥
It's been an honour following these guys since the OG EP that came put when I was in college
I wish this interview was longer. Definitely could use a Part 2
Kevin is such a nice guy
Great chat! Maybe get Nico on next?😊
Fantastic Interview! Thank you for that.
Thanks Finn. Short and direct. Outstanding job.
Finn I love your interviews!
Amazing interview. I love this band so much.
Hey Finn, firstly congratulations for the video, I found u to be an excellent host, waiting for the interviewed to finish the answer, making very well put questions. Thank u very much for this, I like EC very much and I'm glad they are receiving this much attention.
Big fan of the boys and I loved this interview. Thanks man!
Kevin's a gem, great interview Finn like always
Really cool guy - loved his enthusiasm. Great interview thanks Finn!
Great interview thank you 😊 the band seem like such great guys. I'm looking forward to seeing them in a few weeks in Brighton, UK 🇬🇧 😀 🙌
I love Bury me in Vegas! I still listen to it since it came out in 2012! Need to see them live!
Excellent. Was cool to hear from Kevin about this stuff!
Great interview Finn, it gives some good insights in the band! Cheers from your favorite continent: Europe
Such a great interview; I really enjoyed hearing all this behind-the-scenes info, and Kevin is absolutely right about authenticity being more appealing than production levels.
I'm so glad you took my suggestion to have EC on the podcast seriously. Thank you so much
I love you for doing this interview with Kevin. Thank you so much, you are an À class interviewer. Electric Callboy has become my favourite band and it was great to hear all about the band from its beginnings to now.
So glad I found this band. They are amazing & have really brought so much joy to me life. As someone with a tendency to be a bit too serious, theirs is exactly the kind of music I need sometimes.
Such a down to earth guy. Great music! Great interview!
You make a great interviewer. Thank you for getting the information right from the source. I love this band, and you show a lot of respect to Kevin in this chat.
Great guy!
Watch out, it is a German with a Polish surname
This deserves all of the likes. 😂
As soon as I found out they were coming to Seattle, I bought tickets. Can't wait
🙌 me too!
@@jessm2560 aww shit! Just got an email from El corazon and electric callboy that it's been cancelled 🥺
@@MrMegatron85 noooooooo😞
Would love to see their faces when they see El Corazon!! Can't wait for the show!!!!!
Its fucking cool when my favorite music vlogger is hosting my new favorite band. Just seeing Finn and Kevin onscreen simultaneously makes me so happy. Love my NRW boys! Kevin talked about Rammstein and he's spot on. I just saw Rammstein last night and the night before in LA and there are so many parallels.
Vlog with subtitles...(Kevin at maximum gibberish level here), (I can't even begin to translate what Kevin's saying), are some of their best subtitles😁
Christian deserves more praise. The vlogs are great
Hypa Hypa and all the reaction videos that came out as a result of it helped me get through lockdown during the pandemic, and I was stuck in a foreign country at the time.
I love Electric Callboy...their videos are great!
Sidenote - Electric Callboy is cathartic art and I love that
Aw, I'd love to have a coffee with both of you and discuss random things. Yes, authenticity is the best way to portray yourself. I love that.
Great interview! Finn, next time you interview the band, I hope you get to ask them about the collaboration with Conquer Divide for their song F@#boi
Kevin is so sweet!
Finn you are the best in the business at what you do, and I absolutely love that you put out this interview. That being said I hope your dive in to Eskimo Callboy "Electric" goes deep because their music has been different yet so good for so long. I first listened to them because I'm a fan of cover songs and the deftones and that's what I thought my own summer was, it was not. I played it like 3 times in a row and was literally like what the actual fuck is this awesomeness I'm hearing and have followed ever since. When hypa hypa dropped I would play it on my TV for everyone that came to my house because the video itself is ridiculous and the music is fantastic and i think new listenerswould agree. Then love/hate comes out and the new listeners were expecting the same type of song when really it's kinda their old style and imo a straight up banger. But yea man keep up the good work and I can't wait to see what you have to say. The new album is great, but so are the albums past that I hope new fans check out because when you see them live it's not gonna be hypa hypa every song, they're gonna punch you in the face and make you dance and laugh at the same time.
Greetings from Castrop-Rauxel, their and my hometown. Even though I don't know them personally. Very cool Interview. Thank you.
Great video, Finn. Thanks a lot! To give you some content: The Ruhr area, where the band is coming from, can be compared to the Rust Belt in the USA. There were a lot of coal mines and steel plants but the whole thing went downhill since the 1960s.
I’m glad to see the pieces coming together. Hope they come to the states. I can easily see EC playing any major festival.
They are coming to a US tour next month
@@Zombieberry27 sick!
All of Tekkno is stuck in my head! 😂 ❤
Awesome
Ein etwas abruptes Ende des Interviews, aber eine sehr schöne Gesprächsführung. Danke 🌸
Ugh had to look into it after you said they haven’t toured in US in years. And sure enough the arent coming to the agora Cleveland AGAIN! Was really looking forward to seeing them in a couple weeks :(
Awesome Interview as always Finn
If you need another trivia for your Video here are a bit more from an random german :D:
- Drummer David Friedrich won the German version of The Bachelorette and was also fourth in the German version of I‘m a celebrity.. get me out of here which is Normally still a big show in Germany
- Former singer Sushi is now in a band called Ghostkid which is straight forward Djent Core
- they have scheuduled some shows in 2023 in Germany for very big venues which goes to the 10k audience
- with cooperating German Twitch streamers and UA-camrs they also got a lot attention
- they Mix typical German party music like Schlager, hardstyle and 90s eurodance which is very popular drinking music here
Thanks! I think I got most of that in the video!
I hope they will play some of EC's music during apres ski XD
i love kevin and i love rammstein and oh so happy I am when he mentioned them
In listening to different interviews, it became pretty clear that the split with Sushi was the best thing for all involved. The latter mentioned going through an album like Rehab for the money. It was a job at that point. And that album really does sound like the two sides "meeting in the middle" with what they both wanted. Resulted in some good songs, but it definitely wasn't the most acclaimed from their audience.
Both parties are getting to do exactly what they want to do. And EC especially are bigger now than I'm sure they ever imagined they'd be.
Holy crap! The Hypa Hypa video was a phenomenal return on investment.
The authenticity definitely shows through despite the German/English language
Discovered electric callboy because of the channel and it’s affiliates.
Thank you.
Their show is sold out in my city 😐
Just found this one... sum41, blink182, slipknot.........electric callboy :D Thanks for your mini docs. love them
What a nice man.
This band rules.
Finn: "Not gonna even try to say your name."
Me: * laughs in Slav * "Try to say Grzegorz Brzęczyszczykiewicz"
I'd like to buy a vowel😄
I think the last word is my Password!
We Welsh folk joins the chat.... llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch
Ratajczak is just a Polish surname, nothing out of ordinary
Finn... you a raiders fan?! Man respect i am too!!
❤
👏👏👏
Ratajczak is very Polish name 😅
Electric Callboy. Raiders hat. Here, take my like.
I love their old stuff as much as the new stuff. It sucks that they redid some older songs with nico for Spotify.
Love these guys and we butter the bread with butter. Germans make some great party metal.
I haven't really been into Electric Callboy til they did a song with the all female metalcore band Conquer Divide
Schlager not being cool?! I wish. People my age and especially younger people are totally into it.
Maybe this is a city vs. rural thing?
Yes it is definitely older people music, but the younger generations are no strangers to it.
Only for ironc party reasons though, they're usually not _actually_ into it
The only Schlager fans I know are way over 50. I never met a younger person who says that he/she likes Schlager. Where are those people?
Wuhuuu grüße aus deutschland 🤗🇩🇪
Grüße zurück
Grüßeeee
FYI Ratajczak is a Polish last name, not so odd for us but I agree Its hard to pronouce if you doesn’t know the language. Probably Kevin’s ancestors were Polish emigrants who moved to Germany
Jockey. Its translates to Good Jockey. Unfortunately, that is not what his name means. It translates to plowman for "Rataj" and "czak" means farmer. So Plowman farmer
Fuck yes
