      Agree and disagree. I can't also help but think that its owing to their political system which gives the general populace too much of a say. In France, because of their multiple rounds of voting it allows a greater opportunity for new parties to emerge and compete and thus carry out populist agendas. In the UK we have less political options with only two parties, so the parties can make unpopular decisions without competition wiping them out in the polls in the next election. This is because typically the other party also has unpopular positions and theres no realistic third option.

    Yeah they are certainly having a crappy time but these video titles. Not just this one, but it’s always this country and then that country is going to be destroyed or is becoming a ‘third world economy’ - the constant hyperbolic absurd exaggeration has gotten completely out of control. France, for better or worse, ain’t going anywhere. They may be spending more to service their enormous debt and run on autopilot until next summer without a real govt but they haven’t been invaded, you can still go into a grocery shop and buy whatever food you want and go home to a house with clean running water and electricity. It ain’t all that bad, most of the world would love the problems we in west think are catastrophic!

    • @ChristiaanHW
      @ChristiaanHW Місяць тому +1

    I think an essential part of the burden the french economy has is due to its social handouts. These are attracting HUGE numbers of immigrants from Africa. It is now very visible in the streets of any french city. Just look at the census data for people who are either retired or out of work (there is a comparison of origin for immigrants). African immigrants costs more than what they bring. So over time the problem is getting worse. And this is what is killing the industry. The government needs to finance these people.

    • @ベン-q6u
      @ベン-q6u Місяць тому +10

      Same for Germany. It just costs so much money without any advantages, rather more and more disadvantages. Cities, States, the federal government, everyone is less flexible because of the billions they have to spend for refugees. On top of that crime rates are hiking. You could better use the money for yourself and invest in your country or use it to help those countries so no more people are coming.

    • @badluck5647

      The classic "blame immigrants" trope. You would think after WW2, Europeans would have learned not to listen to scapegoating conspiracies.
      Young immigrants contribute more to the economy, while a growing population of native retirees is draining the country dry.

    • @benenivel1478
      @benenivel1478 Місяць тому +5

      @@Spido68_the_spectator It would not work for France... There are social reasons like the 35 hour work week, incredible levies on businesses that make entreprise impossible. For decades France has been slowly turning into a society where one can live a good life without producing much. There is a entire generation who have no clue what effort means. On the other hand currency devaluation would make it clear to the people how poor they truly are and that they must do something about it. I think it is too late anyway. France no longer has a functioning industry. All they have are large multnational companies in this domain. Small businesses are gone.

    The simplest solution to Microns problem would be to offer LePen the Premiership of the National Assembly.
    This would shift the unpopular responsibility of governing in a crisis to his political opponent.
