Big fan of the Wrestling comparisons from Jake in this video, especially later entertaining the idea of this all being a work, even if it’s doubtful that’s true. I find the whole situation tough to comment on without rock solid proof one way or the other, but the psychology and spectacle of the whole affair is something to behold.
That’s the most fascinating aspect to me as well. As a character study I find it all absolutely enthralling, and I think k the genius of it all is that this is competition between two people trying to assert their own ‘persona’ or ‘narrative’ as the dominant one. It’s a metatextual war and an actual war
Yeah I wanna join in on the almost 'celebratory' feeling in the air but something just feels... off. I wish we could see into the future just to erase any doubts we might be having at the moment. However, regardless of how we feel about anything, if Kendrick ended up playing the long game and ends up accomplishing something... that would be one of the most truly insane things a musician has ever done in our lifetimes
